If you want to get blurred pictures, just try this camera!
by annefleur ,Feb 12 '05
Pros: Nice design. Cons: No autofocus, blurred &/or yellow pictures, flash bad, no sound video.
I bought this camera about 3-4 months ago, thinking that it would be great, 6 mega pixels, not expensive, small, fancy design...
I was mistaken. This camera does not have any autofocus, a mechanism that most digital cameras have, which prevents you from getting blurred pictures if you move just a little bit while taking the picture. But when I say a little bit, I mean that every time I take a picture, it is blurred. And believe me, I know how to take picture, this is not the first camera I have...
Another bad thing is the flash, which is not strong enough to take pictures at night, and make all you pictures yellow... Do not get mistaken by the several-flash mode, it is all the same, and it is bad.
Eventually, you can make video, but their is NO SOUND! Can you believe it!
A CAMERA TO AVOID ABSOLUTELY! If you want to buy a digital camera, buy a Canon or Olympus, but not an unknown Bell & Howell, you would regret it.

Camera dies, and it's dead
by ninedimes ,Jun 10 '05
Pros: Small compact size makes it easy to carry. Looks good (deceptive). Cons: Grainy, dark, blurred, yellow, uninteresting picture output makes it unnecessary to carry with you anywhere.
Bell and Howell BH-725 came from Ebay. Two months later after taking pictures that blurred and were too dark, the battery died. I've been online, electronics stores, battery outlets, etc. No one has a battery to replace the one I need. I tried Interstate Batteries in my town. If you buy a digital camera and something goes wrong, you have one option: Buy another camera. Update: It has been discovered that the hinged door on the side of the unit where the SD card and the battery are inserted broke a plastic clip attached to the body which should hold the door down tight. Since one side is not down tight enough the battery will not power the unit unless it is taped shut (doesn't hold) or held with discomfort to be tight during use.
