Pros: Great design, incredibly easy to use, precise cooking. Cons: None
Summary: I purchased a large Big Green Egg grill/smoker for my husband for Father's Day. He enjoys grilling and, while I consider myself a very good cook, I have never mastered the outdoor grill. The Egg promised to be idiot-proof, so I thought it would be a ...

Pros: Versatility, accuracy, flexibility, capacity, length of cooks, delicious food Cons: Learning curve, lousy OEM dome thermometer
Summary: I've had my Large BGE for over eight years now, and I've come to enjoy it as one of my prize possessions. I'll admit that I initially was disappointed in its performance, but I came to realize what I was doing wrong and what I had to do to properly ...

Pros: Moist smoke flavored food with ease. Cons: Takes practise to fire it up to desire temperature.
Summary: Have owned an appreciated the Big Green Egg for about six months now. I think claims of being easy to light and ready in ten minutes may not be exactly accurate, but with a little practise and reading, it is easy to use and food turns out great. ...

Pros: Easy, delicious, perfect results every single time, even by first-timers. Lasts longer than you will. Cons: A bit pricey compared to a kettle grill. Still cheap over the long haul.
Summary: The Big Green Egg is one of at least four similar ceramic cooking systems available in the US today, the other three being the Kamado cooker, the Primo grill, and the Grill Dome. All follow the same basic philosophy, that of using a nearly-sealed ceramic ...

Pros: Easy to keeps temp, does not dry food, easy to use Cons: No factory online ordering especially for parts
Summary: We purchased a lake house that had a BGE on the back deck that the previous owners left. I thought this thing is useless and it needs to go "after all we have a propane grill". It was dirty, the grate was caked with junk, hinges were rusty, it was a ...

Pros: Versatile, easy to use, delicious results, efficient use of charcoal, website forum Cons: Natural lump charcoal can be expensive or tough to find, depending on your home
Summary: Had to laugh at harp007's review. If all you plan to do is cook burgers and steaks look elsewhere, this is too much grill for you. But if you want to make brisket, ribs, pulled pork, turkey, pizza, wings, etc. you can do no better. Amazing bbq

Pros: none Cons: expensive, takes exotic supplies
Summary: My wife bought me one for christmas. Before this I just always used a regular charcoal grill with great results. This thing is way too expensive! My last grill was a cast-iron from Winn-Dixie - cost about $50, did a great job, and lasted 10 years.
