I was surprised to see all the rave reviews about this thing. I really don't think the scent is strong enough/noticeable enough...especially considering the size of this contraption and the heater/fan system inside it. I've definitely never noticed the "story" of the changing scents either!!

The best air freshener I used was a plug-in type with a little glass bottle of scent. Can't find the same one in the US though :( (I bought mine in the UK)

Anyway...the scents do smell nice (which is why I would like MORE scent!) so I guess it's not too bad. But it's HUGE for an air freshener...oh well...

I really like it and like the other reviewers, I agree that it is easy to use. The only other reviews posted were clearly posted by employees/marketing firm of Febreeze!! So I wanted to give an honest opinion. The scent blows out like a fan(you can actually feel the breeze) so it's best to put in a room that you don't spend a lot of time in or at least point it away from you so you don't taste/breathe the scent! Also it could be my machine but it is a bit too noisy for me. I have it in the TV room and it makes more noise than any other airfreshener I've had. I will say that no other air freshener that I have had has had such an immediate effect. As soon as you turn it on the whole room smells different! That was good. Overall I would recommend.

I have been wanting a Febreze Scent Player for a while now since I received two free disks off of the Internet. I had a $10.00 coupon and a $10.00 Walmart card from My Points, so I actually spent $5.91 for the Player. What a deal! I have three dogs and three cats inside the house so the Player is safer than using candles. I do have a ton of candles but I don't burn them as much as I used to because of the pets. I would recommend the Player to anyone who wants to freshen their home.

I have wanted a Scentstories machine for a long time and finally asked for one for Christmas. I got it and absolutely love it. I have always burned lots of candles but now that my husband is on oxygen that had to stop. This is safe and gives off the best scents throughout the house. It is also safe in a senior person's home where they are uneasy about open flame or potpourri pots that could boil dry and then burn. A simple push of the button and your home smells wonderful. I have even come home from work and found that the machine was running because my husband likes the way it makes the house smell. I plan on buying several for gifts. The other positive is that you buy the machine initially and your discs and after that replace your discs periodically. With candles when they are gone you replace and in the end the expense is so much greater not to mention the black smoke that discolors the ceilings and surfaces around where the candle is burning. No more, I will not buy another candle.

Very nice! The scents are wonderful and now Yankee Candle is carrying the disc!! It is a bit pricey at Yankee Candle $24.99 but with a little research I found it for $9.99 at Drugstore.com!!! Well worth it.
