Pros: Great for clean-up of small stains Cons: Turbo brush not that effective
This little machine is great for the little accidents that befall your carpet between regular cleaning. There are a number of little green machines, this particular model adds heat to the cleaning solution, and a turbo brush. The turbo brush is a...

This machine ready for the dump
by taylor47 ,Dec 12 '04
Pros: Good suction, compact Cons: Poor water pump, poor warranty, very loud, compartments do not stay in place
The worst machine ever!!!!!! As i am writing this I am throwing this piece of garbage in the garbage where it belongs. I purchased this from Canadian Tire who DID NOT stand by the warranty and basically brushed me off. I have had this fixed twice already because the sprayer never works properly and the water compartments pop off and spray water everywhere. The edges on the suction piece practically rip your carpet to shreds. I would never recommend or buy another Bissell product if this is the kind of garbage that they produce!!

Little Green best at sucking up a LITTLE OF YOUR GREEN
by fly4fun ,Dec 14 '03
Pros: NONE Cons: WASTE OF MONEY. READ BODY OF ARTICLE.
Purchased this machine to clean spots on rugs. Bissell has tried to put a lot of functionality in an inexpensive product, and has made something that does a lot of things very poorly.
1. Suction is inadequate.
2. Powerbrush is weak.
3. Barely heats the water.
4. Spray nozzle CONSTANTLY gets clogged - then it dribbles, not sprays.
5. Unless you do a THROUROUGH job of cleaning it after use, it dribbles DIRTY WATER on your carpets.
To clean spots, I now:
a. Spray the area to be treated with heated carpet cleaner (like Bissell carpet cleaner).
b. Apply Capture rug cleaning power. c. Scrub in with scrub brush or the Scumbuster power scrubber by Black and Decker (handy product).
d. Vacuum after it has dried.
If you wet the carpet too much, vacuum it up with a wet/dry vac. (most shop vacs now do this).
For cleaning all carpets in the house, nothing beats a professional carpet cleaner with a truck-mounted unit.

Read 1st review - a true piece of junk!!!
by wyattearp86 ,Nov 18 '03
Pros: good suction quality Cons: just read my review!
This was absolutely the WORST $75.00 I've ever spent in my life! 1st reviewer was correct - the sprayer stopped spraying and this stupid product was hardly used! I could not unclog it, it could only serve as a mini-vac for a car or something now. It does have good suction, so if you spill something on carpet, it will suck it right up, just don't count on spraying the cleaning solution ... stick with the good old fashioned spray spot remover from the dollar store. As for the "heater" button ... a true joke! It heated the fist 3 seconds of outgoing spray and that's it. Oh, and the "TurboBrush" ... funnier than the "heater" button. You got to see the TurboBrush ... you'll really appreciete the guy who invented the pet rock! I will give this away FREE to anybody who wants it. All I ask is the cheapest USPS shipping charges + $5.00 inconvenience to pack and drive this junk to post office. You want it? It's your! E-mail me at wyattearp86@hotmail.com if interested.

The store clerk warned me...
by tikkitavi_dt3000 ,Nov 01 '02
The store clerk warned me to get the service agreement because in her experience, owners have many problems with the hoses on this machine. I didn't take her advice and sure enough, it broke after 14 months of very light use (one use for every two or three months), the cleaning spray on the hose stopped working. I do not recommend this product.
