Black & Decker TCM700 8-Cup Coffee Maker

Pros: Stainless steel carafe.
Cons: Drips and makes a big mess.

I never even made coffee in this machine before I brought it back to the store. When running water through the machine prior to use as recommended by the manufacturer I discovered that, due to poor design it dripped water all over my counter top. The lid over the reservoir is larger than the reservoir so that, when the water gets hot, condensation builds up on the under side of the lid, runs to the edge and drips down. There is also a similar situation where the basket sits. The basket sits on a lip that doesn't allow anywhere for the water to go other than down the sides of the carafe.

Pros: Great tasting coffee, easy to use.
Cons: No warming plate, no "on" indicator light

Love the taste of the coffee, love the design for the most part. Was very upset to learn that the maker does not have a warming plate because it's thermal. Therefore, what you get is what you get as far as temps. Do not expect your coffee to get hotter as it sits on the warming plater as there is none.
