Error in recording noncash deductions

Pros: Works OK if Taxpayer does not make noncash contributions.
Cons: Deduction pro will incorrectly complete form 8283 in most cases. See above

Summary: DeductionPro for 2007 contains a very basic error in applying IRS rules.For noncash donations that total over $500.00 for a tax year, IRS requires that a form 8283 be completed. This form requires additional information,

Pros: cheap, free, IRS accepts it.
Cons: very, very labor intensive to fill in many deduction items.

Summary: Deduction pro is essentially a free program and you get what you pay for. Calendar is good example. The clickable calendar ALWAYS starts at Jan. 1 even when you are filling in December's donations. When you type them in, it will fill in leading zero
