Pros: LOVE the size, power, ease of use, durability Cons: small batters need more attention
I love my Bosch universal stand mixer. I have the Kitchen Aide already and had a problem with the flour coating on my kitchen when making home made breads and pizzas. This is nothing against the KA but I was looking for something more. My husband was ...
Pros: Powerful (700 watts!), versatile, well made, a quality appliance. Cons: Takes a bit of practice to master.
Bosch MUM 6610 Universal Mixer Our 17-year old Sunbeam stand mixer died in a cloud of smoke just before Christmas, victim of my 13-year old sons batch of gingerbread dough. I was quite cheerful about this because I like to bake with the ...
Pros: Weight. Multi-function. Cons: Bad design overall.
THE MUM 6610 and 6622 only differ in the addition of the blender (6622). This review covers the base machine which is the same and the accessories I have. I think Bosch should have stayed in power tools - their power tools are terrific. But, their ...
Pros: Robust, versatile with lots of attachments, great for bread and whipping Cons: big, loud, not the best for cake mixes and other batters
Like some of the other reviews here, I had also lusted after a KitchenAid stand lift mixer. A few years ago a "Heavy Duty" stand mixer came on sale at the local Costco, and I bought one. I was never so disappointed in a product. I burnt out the motor ...
Pros: Does a great job of mixing heavy recipes like whole grain breads. Cons: Not all parts dishwasher safe. Bowl and dough hook hard to remove.
Oh yeah. I had been lusting after a KitchenAid mixer for some time, thinking it would really help me make all my totally whole grain bread recipes, but then I came here and read the reviews. Oh no, it can't be, I found myself thinking. Epinions reviewers ...
Pros: Quality, durability, flexibility, capabilities, compact size, ease of use. Cons: May require orientation by those accustomed to American-style mixers.
I have owned and used mixers for nearly 40 years, all the major brands. I have already written reviews for the Magic Mill/Electrolux DLX, the Sunbeam stand mixer and the Bosch Compact, all of which I own. I bought a Bosch universal because I like ...
Bosch Universal Kitchen Machine is the best kitchen toy I've ever bought by epine66 ,Jul 11 '08
Pros: Kneads whole wheat doughs thoroughly.
Easy to clean.
Blender attachment.
Powerful. Cons: Not as pretty as a KitchenAid.
I make whole wheat bread regularly, and the KitchenAid professional just didn't cut it. I returned it after a week and got a Bosch Universal Kitchen Machine. Since then (3 years ago) I've been thrilled with my Bosch. In addition to whole wheat breads, I've used it to make marshmallows, cookie batter, grind oats (in the blender), and make frozen drinks.
Awesome Machine!! Money well spent!! by vicky424 ,Jul 04 '06
Pros: Fast,Easy to use even without reading the manual, mixes very heavy dough without being stressed Cons: I haven't found any yet.
I bought this mixer after killing my kitchenaid with a batch of whole wheat cottage dill bread. I got it yesterday and made a 7 grain bread and it worked so fast and easy. This morning I decided to try the recipe that killed my kitchenaid mixer and I even doubled the batch and the Bosch didn't even seem to have any trouble with the weight of it at all. This is a wonderful tool if you enjoy making good hearty breads.
Pros: Durability, versatility, heavy-duty, attachments Cons: Bowl must be absolutely dry to sit on base
I have owned a Bosch for 25 years and it's the absolute best kitchen investment I've ever made. It does everything from whipping egg whites to kneading bread. Makes wonderful pie crust, mashed potatoes, cookies including stiff doughs.
