Pros: Large capacity
Cons: Dry sense feature is awful. No manual temperature setting.

Have had this dryer for about 1.5 years. The feature that is supposed to sense how dry the clothes are has never worked well. The 'very dry' always turns out 'still moist'. So, I'm mostly stuck with high temperature drying at the 20/40/60 minute timer. I expected better from Bosch.

A mistake I have both the washer and dryer. The washer is doing really good but the dryer is a piece of crap, I had it service for the 4th time today and the lintfilter led still comes blinking and shutting off the drying cycle.
Terrible do not buy this dryer!

Purchased at Lowe's after 20 year old Kitchenaid electronics got too flaky to operate reliably. Impressed with styling and solid feel compared to other brands (new Kitchenaid, LG, etc.) Dryer works well, however have issue with cracks in middle of door and plastic piece above door. Thought is was due to our teenage sons, however reading another reviewers comments, suspect a design issue. Have a Siemens washer with no cabinet issues, so don't think it is how we treat our appliances. Don't like fact that dryer timer resets whenever the door is opened. Also, find we have to use very dry setting or add extra time at end of cycle.
Have complicated exhaust route and haven't experienced any problems.
Had to devise special vacuum cleaner hose to clean lint filter area.

Pros: IT dries. no problems with cracking
Cons: none I can think of.

This Dryer is Good to me...
I have had no problems. The door opened the wrong way, I bought the door switch kit at Lowes for about $10.00. No problems installing the new hinges. The dryer, dries cloths great the are fluffy and dry. The lint filter is in the front.. I have the Bosch washer to go with it, the lint filter is never really full. You do have to buy a power cord to go with it for extra. it does not come with a cord..No dryer does. The inside of this dryer is huge. I have had no problems with it. Cloths are dry. When washing 2 loads the dryer is done with the first load when the second load is ready. I use the regular dry cycle on shirts and pants..the very dry on Whites. it has a soft beep when its done..not a loud buzz. As far as I'm concerned it does its job. I have had this for 10 months..no problems. no cracks or breaks. Update. Today is 5-7-08 No problems runs as great as the day I brought it home as does the washer.

Cons: Removing lint is a pain because it falls down into the drum area.

I hate my dryer. Talk about a lemon. I have had nothing but problems with it. I have had the repairman over about 5 times. He still needs to come back. It started making noise within the first year. He cleaned it out. That did not solved the problem. He came back and changed a bearing and the noise stopped for a while. Then it came back even louder. The repairman replaced the entire drum. The noise came back after a year. He then banged out the back of the dyer thinking that the drum was catching on it. So far no noise, but in doing all those repairs, the front of the door and the top of the appliance is cracking. Bosch said it would replace these parts. I am so disgusted, because I was told by a Bosch representative (Sylvia) a year ago, that if the problem persisted that they would replace the appliance. I have tried to get a hold of Sylvia from Bosch on a number of occasions and she will not return my phone calls. Talk about poor customer service.

My repairman has been out twice to fix my dryer, and the second time he just shook his head and told me, "You shoulda bought a Whirlpool."

The on/off button has failed twice. For as much as we paid for this appliance, I am livid that it has required service more than once in the first 9 months we've owned it. I love my dryer - we also bought the washer - it's quiet, fast, and huge. But I feel duped for spending so much money on what I'm starting to feel is an inferior product.

My dealer's extended warranty (thank goodness I purchased it) has a three-strike lemon clause. I'm already hoping it breaks a third time so I can trade it in for a Whirlpool.

Brand new dryer has been nothing but problems from day one. Dryer keeps turning itself off because ducting has 2 90 degree turns!! If you can't exhaust this dryer straight outdoors or don't want to have to exhaust it right into your indoor air with no ducting hooked up AVOID this dryer!! Any bends in the ducting will cause the much too sensitive sensor to trigger an error code and shut the dryer off! You then have to reset it and start over again only to have the same problem reoccur every 5 minutes! Lots of other people have reported the same problem but BOSCH customer care is no help. They just tell you to design a new exhaust system! Will be returning this overpriced engineering "marvel" to Loews and will never buy another Bosch product.Premium prices without the premium service or care!!
