Pros: Excellent glass and well built Cons: Focus looking at the image in the 1.5" LCD screen.
2nd generation digital binoculars that has a 30 second TV capture capability has a 16MB compact flash card and is 2.1 megapixels, with a 1.5"LCD.
My review from last year on the Instant Replay model left me hoping someday, somewhere , somehow....I would capture what I see through my glass onto a high resolution digital file.
Not yet..as they might say. A bit on the pricey side..you get an excellent set of bulky binoculars, however..the scaled down version of glass only is $200 less. I recommend you hold out on the digital enhancements for now. They are hard to focus for picture taking. You must focus the image in the 1.5" LCD screen and not through the eyepiece. I could not get anything closer then a full landscape shot to come into focus. I normally wear reading glasses only and resented the fact I had to carry them if I wanted to take a picture using this system. Come on somebody..when I snap a picture..I don't want to remove the binos from my eyes..I want a good hires picture of what I am seeing through the binoculars! Maybe next year.
