Pros: Great size, stabilization, LCD, colour quality and lens quality. Cons: LED Light terribly bright (good thing?) Battery in box is weak
I purchased the Canon Elura 65 as part of a special Canon purchasing program and I can say without a doubt that even at full price this camera is worth every penny. Bright, vivid colour simply makes the images breathtaking. First day usage included a ...

Pros: Small, easy to use, exactly what I was looking for in a new camcorder! Cons: None so far.
Just got my new Elura 65 today and I will preface this by saying that I am not techno saavy and somewhat intimidated by new gadgets. This camcorder so far has been extremely easy to use. I had it out of the box and all the extras (batteries, straps, ...

Pros: Comfort, size, picture quality, features, optics Cons: battery life
The Canon Elura 65 sure has come a long way from the old standard VHS camcorder I started with. I was looking for a more compact and convenient successor to my current DV palmcorder - a Panasonic 951D. Once I had identified the myriad of standard ...

Easy for everyone
by mjillfurlong ,Jul 13 '05
Pros: Easy to use, great quality photos Cons: Sometimes it seems to have a delay on the still-picture mode
My husband and I looked at a lot of different camcorders before settling on the Elura 65. We live in a different state than both of our families, so we knew we would need both pictures and video to send to the families. The Elura 65 is reasonably priced, easy to use, and compact without being too small. It's easy for everyone to use: a teenage niece, an uncle, grandpa, or the not-so-techno-savvy mom. The picture quality is great as long as you don't plan on printing a bunch of 8 x 10 shots. The video quality is excellent. There are enough features to make dad happy: night mode, digital effects, etc., but you're OK using just the basics. Image transfer is a snap, too. All in all, this is a great camcorder.

Pros: Easy to use, menu's are simple, great picture, very compact. Cons: None so far
I am a professional Videographer and usually take one of my pro camera's on trips which is a pain because they are so large. The Canon 65 is the perfect choice. Great camera, easy to use.

Great Digital at Great Price
by trainmann ,Jun 05 '05
Pros: 16x OPTICAL Zoom
on-board chip for still images when you want
Image Stabilization Cons: Haven't found any yet.
After 30+ years experience with 35mm photography and a fair bit of dabbling with digital still photography, I'd rate myself a "picky" customer when it comes anything that captures an image. This is my first camcorder and I've been extremely pleased with it.
It was easy to use right out of the box, is simple enough for the point-and-shoot user, but has enough "bells and whistles" to keep the "photographer" in me happy. I'm extremely pleased with the 16x optical zoom, a feature hard to find on camcorders in this price range. Image stabilization is also a great feature to "get" at this price.
Purchase from BuyDig was a great experience. They beat my local warehouse store's price by a nice margin (even after paying for quick shipping).

Great product for the price
by jfcyr ,Jun 08 '05
Pros: size, optics, ease of use, overall package. Cons: should come with longer life battery and bigger memory card
After looking at reviews for a while, I decided to buy this Elura 65 camcorder, because it seemed to have a great value and a lot of features, I have not been disappointed yet.
The menu feature is very easy to use, it took me less than an hour to learn how to use 90% of all the functions this camcorder has. The image stabilization works very well, and the "simple mode" is great for when I just want to point and shoot. There are a lot of manual adjustments for when you are more comfortable using the camera.
I was pleasantly surprised by the video and photo quality. I was expecting horrible low light/indoor performance from the reviews, but under indoor lighting conditions image quality is still very good.

Pretty Good Product
by deeja ,May 13 '04
Pros: Easy to handle Cons: hard to leave alone.
I own a camcorder before and when that broke, I shopped around to find a good one. I believe I found it.
The quality of the picture is good, easy to handle.
It's a heck of a lot nicer than the one I had before.
