Pros: Good quality prints, easy to use fax, copy, scan, adf Cons: A little noisy in feeding paper.
I recently purchased the Canon MultiPASS MP730 for home office use. I couldn't be more pleased with it. There are many reasons that I chose this model over the competition. Separate ink tanks I really, really dislike the combined ink tanks tha ...
Pros: Multitask print and scan. Cons: LCD not backlit.
So far I have had the Multi-function for a few days and I am impressed. I have been able to print, scan and copy like a pro and I have used it for printing photos and documents, scanning photos and documents and printing envelopes. I was able to print ...
Pros: Quiet, fast printing. Looks good. Built in card readers. Multiple color cartridges. Good photo software. Cons: Pricey. Weird scanning software. Cumbersome menu, not backlit. Ink access is tight.
We run a small business from home and wanted to combine our scanner and printer and add multi-page scanning and fax capabilities without giving up all the surface space. So last April, I bought an HP OfficeJet d135. It did a nice job - you can check out ...
Pros: Separate ink tanks, quality print, edge to edge printing Cons: Non LCD, teething print and paper problems, no integrated approach to printing
I bought the MP730 after reviewing the comments from epinions and a lot of hands on touch and feel. (Updated May 06) Had the printer returned after having it serviced. Canon agent is Compucal in Manhattan, very professional and helpful. Started ...
Pros: Decent price of the unit itself, does all things reasonably well. Size is OK too. Cons: Uses too much ink, small platen glass, cost of ownership high (due to ink usage).
I've had this printer for about a year and a half now. I purchased it with my computer and got a discount at the time from Dell. I paid $199 for this Canon and have been generally pleased with it. It does a good job being an all in one machine. ...
Pros: cheap Cons: poor quality. failed twice during first year. a friend's unit was defective from the start
The printhead on my MP 730 failed mid-way during the first year I owned the machine. The ink clogged, apparently, and the printhead could not be cleaned, but only replaced. Canon directed me to an authorized repair facility that replaced the printhead ...
Pros: Works well when it works Cons: Hopeless customer service when it does not
We liked the product while it worked. But when the cartridge began jamming, the fun began. First you try to get through to their "service centre". That is difficult. Then they send you to the local service centre if you want it fixed. The centre moved ...
Pros: Excellent printing. Seperate ink cartridges. Easy installation. Cons: Scanning is awful. Refer to review section.
This printer should have, and could have been by far the perfect solution. But alas, it falls way short when it comes to scanning documents via the platen glass or the automatic document feeder. When scanning an 8-1/2 x 11" from the platen glass, the ...

I've had this machine for 6 months and it has exceeded my expectations. It does everything it should, and some. BEST printer, scanner, copier I ever had. And that's not even mentioning the fax component! Cheap ink, good quality pictures, faaaaaaast, accurate color, I could go on and on. A must buy!
Super Quick printing, Prints Great Photos. by maae10_dt100 ,Dec 13 '03
Pros: Prints great Photos, super quick print jobs, Ink cheaper then Lexmarks. Cons: So far, so good. No complaints whatsoever.
I have owned the MP730 for close to 6 months now, I am very happy with this machine, it prints super fast and gives new meaning to "multi-function" in addition to great quality prints and speedy prints, this printer is a genuine "Photo printer" absolutly stunning photos. The ink is also alot cheaper then lexmark.
Pros: Installed without a problem; good quality printing Cons: None to report as of day 3
When we were looking at purchasing a multifunction printer for my new part-time job at home, we automatically looked to HP first. Having read many reviews about installation problems with some of the HPs, we turned to Cannon and purchased the MP730. We were very pleased that it installed without a hitch on our XP machine. We have only just installed it and tested the printing (b/w and color) and copying, but on both of these functions I can report positive results. I was somewhat concerned that not being "laser jet," the print quality would not be to my satisfaction. But I've found it to be very crisp and professional, both color and b/w.
Print quality is great, especially when printing photos. Love its ability to print to the edge of the paper. The ink cartridges are comparatively inexpensive. Honestly, our biggest complaint with the printer is that it is so quiet we constantly find ourselves getting up to make sure it is printing (and it always is).
Get off your butt and go get this thing!!!!! Its AWESOME!!! by blacksunn ,Dec 19 '03
Pros: GREAT prints, Quality built product. I cannot say enough about this printer. Cons: Hard to find. Somewhat expensive, but you get what you pay for!
I just got my MP730 a couple of days ago and this thing ROCKS!!!! I replaced an old HP 1170cse multi function that went bad after 7 years. I did ALOT of research and was going to go with another HP printer. But after reading the less than stellar reviews of them decided to go with the Canon MP730. After hooking it up and getting it dialed in. THIS THING PUTS THE HP's TO SHAME!!!!! The printing is FAASSSTTTT and my pictures have NEVER looked so good. I would HIGHLY recommend this product!!! And if you are on the fence about one, GO GET IT!!!! If you can find it. I had to order it online at Dell because no one had it. A GREAT BUY...
