Pros: AIO, Great Speed, Low Ink Cost, Excellent Print Quality, High Scan DPI's and Excellent Software Cons: No Fax, Large Frame may constrain small workspaces.
Intro Okay so I'm a little slow getting to this review, after all I bought this printer last Summer. But, after reading the information here and experiencing this printer for the last 6 months, I thought a little more long lasting review ...
Pros: Great photo printing printer! Great all-in-one too! Cons: Hmmmm...none. Specs, at the least, were as advertised!
I had the Pixma5000, and loved that printer. But I wanted a scanner with a document feeder...sooooo....I thought I'd compromise with the MP750. It wasn't that much of a compromise -- well, the MP750 does take up more volume. The Pixma5000 uses ...
Pros: Well-deserved reputation for inexpensive ink (Relatively speaking), fast with a pretty good print quality. Cons: Customer Service Policy, Software Features
Received my new Pixma MP750 today from Amazon.com. General Comment: Fit and finish was so-so with the fax unit closed a little sideways; the plastic was not molded up to standards (Some sharp edges and the Canon insignia didn’t even fit in right) and ...
Pros: Auto-Feeder & Magazine, Cheap Ink, Low Price, Cool Display Cons: It's Big, not for desktops or porta-carts.
I bought my Canon MP750 for $99 ($123 w/shipping) from Outpost.com, truly one of the best deals I have ever found. On top of that I bought a new Apple iMac in June so I qualified for a $50 mail-in-rebate from Canon, so my net price was about $75 ...
Pros: Outstanding print performance, speed and quality Cons: Bit on the bulky side.
I've had probably about 9 different AIOs in the past 10 years. My last one, a Xerox finally gave up the ghost about a year ago so I need a replacement. Frys had these on sale at a seemingly ridiculous price of $49.99, new not refurb. Hey for that ...
Hardware has possibilities, software stinks by tpo828 ,Dec 02 '07
Pros: Hardware has potential Cons: Fire the software engineers. Put the MP Navigator code in the bit bucket.
It broke down in the first 30 days. Took two trips to authorized shop to get it working.
Software is downright idiotic. If you try to print and one of the five ink cartridges is out, the machine locks down and won't do anything, not even scanning. Go figure. You have to unplug the cord and let it sit before it resets and the scanner is accessible again. I guess they want to sell more ink. That's the name of the game in printers.
There is very limited control of the machine especially the scanner. Software installs itself as it damn well pleases with files all over my hard drive and locked in place. What is this 1989? A big step backward for installation technique.
I loved my 2 previous Canon scanners and thought the MF machine would be another step up. No way. Good thing I didn't sell my CanoScan 5000F. Time to hook that back up and go printer shopping. The MP750 goes to the Salvation Army.
