Terrible..Avoid at all costs! Dangerous!

by bbartlettnfld , May 01 '05
Pros: Nice padding, 4 harness heights, can use top 2 when forward facing.
Cons: Impossible to adjust harness, this makes a very unsafe ride.
I bought this seat when my DD was 3mos old. I never really liked it but at the time it was what we could afford. I found the cover material to be nice as it was mostly cotton so would be cool in the summer, it removes eaisly and washed very well, I hung ...

best that we could find at the time

by kraftm , Aug 25 '03
Pros: It fit in our CRV
Cons: Doesn't fit well in all cars and straps might be too short.
Before you buy a car seat make sure you take both cars to the store and try out the seat before you buy it. Do not use the replica back seat car that is often displayed at Babies R Us to determine whether your car seat fits in your car. These ...

Not too thrilled with this....

by busymom03 , Feb 04 '04
Pros: Comfy padding
Cons: constant twisting of straps, difficult to install/use rear facing, bad release mechanism.
I registered for this seat before my daughter was born and didn't think about it again until she outgrew the baby carrier. We pulled it out of the garage and proceeded to work out how to thread/install said seat. This lead to one of the biggest ...

Great for Toddler, Not so wonderful for baby

by frankiejones , Aug 25 '04
Pros: 3 way reclining position, seatbelt guide pretty easy
Cons: bulky, straps on legs not for big babies
well, initially, my mom bought this seat for my sister-in-law. She did not like it bc it did not have the overhead shield. (which i don't like really bc of safety) anyhow, she decided to get them 2 infant carriers w/bases and she kept the seat for her ...

very frustrating to install

by mpwah , Oct 11 '03
Pros: Looks nice, very plush, nice harness positions, good amount of recline.
Cons: incredibly difficult to install, doesn't seem to fit small cars
I picked this seat because of it's nice low harness slots (wanted to use it for a newborn), and it's various recline positions. I was also told that it's higher base made it fit better in smaller cars. Was this ever wrong!! The mechanics of installing ...

by marybabs73 , Jul 22 '05
Pros: Ok looking material at best
Cons: PINCHES KID'S LEGS!!!
Ok, to all reading this do not buy this product! All of this happened in one day for those of you who may be concerned of my daughter's safety riding in a loose seat. We never got out of the driveway because I couldn't get her buckled in without ...

A fine seat
by dmkmjm ,Apr 07 '08
Pros: comfortable, safe, secure, easy to use
Cons: none different than any other seat/manufacturer
We've just retired this seat for my 5 year of son. It served it's purpose nicely........nice and plush and cushiony so that when he fell asleep he was comfortable! As for the round buckle...... yeah, it's annoying, but this was my third child and we've used many convertible seats and ALL the buckles will pinch the kid's legs if not done carefully. As for the straps......ALL straps on ANY car seat we've ever used will twist. So, this one is not different from any other one .... it's a comfortable seat for a child.

Good car seat for small sedan cars! Using a second time around!
by reddawn7595 ,Mar 06 '08
Pros: Small and fits well in small sedans, price, easy to use.
Cons: The instructions are hard to get to in the forward facing.
I bought this car seat for our 1st son about 3 years ago. It is easy overall to use and we found it fit well into our small sedan car. We are now using it with our second son as well. Sometimes the straps get twisted easily but that may just be easy to do with a 5 point harness. We have overall enjoyed this car seat and it does seem comfortable to our children and is one of the easiest to fit into a back seat of a small sedan car like ours!A big plus when 3 people still often times ride in the back of a small sedan! I believe the Titan 5 has replaced this seat since I haven't seen this seat on the market.Of course they change car seats every few years. It looks so much like this one from what I can tell.

Great for little escape artists!!
by loanissa ,Feb 04 '04
Pros: Comfortable, easy to adjust, easy to clean!
Cons: Heavy
We got this car seat to replace another one we had (different kind) in which the straps didn't stay snug if my son arched and he then could loosen them more and climb out. It can be a little difficult to install, but once you do it a few times it gets easier and faster to do( which I do a lot as we switch it between 3 different vehicles). I never had a problem adjusting the straps or the latch clips. I especially like that the cover is easy to remove to washing and has the added opening for making putting the seatbelt through a lot easier. The 3 position recline makes long trips to the hospital easy on my son, as does the comfort touch padding. The one big thing for me is that no matter what my son has done to it, he cant loosen the straps to get out!

Very Poorly Constructed Car Seat
by lakesideamy ,Nov 19 '04
Pros: Neutral Color
Cons: Straps too tight, Buckle between legs big and round, Straps difficult to adjust!
I have had this car seat for almost 3 years now. I hate it, and I'm putting it in the garbage today! When it is rear facing it is nearly impossible to adjust the straps. We turned it around to forward facing thinking it would be better then. That is not the case. We have used this car seat for 2 children now, and with both of them it does not fit them past 25 pounds. My children are average sized girls ranging in the 40-50th percentile at their pediatrician. The straps should still fit them! In addition to the straps being so tight, they are never the same length. One will be longer than the other, I try to adjust them, and then the other one will be longer with slack. Also the ROUND buckle...let's think about that for a moment. Would you want a big round buckle between your legs. 3 times I have pinched my daughter's thigh with the buckle, because it is so large. Bottom line...I'm going back to GRACO.

Pretty and comfortable but inconvenient and bulky
by jennalea73 ,Nov 22 '03
Pros: Pretty, comfortable, low cost
Cons: bulky, hard to install, straps twist and tangle.
We bought this seat for our 7month old and it was big and bulky. I did not fit in our Town&Country very well and the straps tangled something awful! I didn't feel like my son was safe in it with the strap situation and the way they twisted so I returned it for a refund. The padding is plush and nice but not worth it to compromise safety.

Toddler LOVES this car seat!!!!
by srycroft ,Apr 23 '04
Pros: Easy to install, variable adjustments for the straps, very well padded, comfortable
Cons: It is somewhat on the heavy side, straps get twisted easily, bulky
I researched many car seats before selecting this one. It had the best over all reviews on a lot of sites, and came highly recommended by other parents I know. The safety reports I found were great on this product. It was so easy to install and very well padded. My toddler falls asleep in it every time we get in the car.

too expensive for the headaches it causes
by arberg ,Aug 21 '05
Pros: Comfortable for child, good recline positions. Better as a rear facing seat.
Cons: Hard to put child in and tighten straps and straps twist horribly.
I've had it for 2 years and I was so fed up with the twisted harness straps that I was going to order new ones. I pulled out the owners manual only to discover that my 2 1/2 year old is too big for the seat anyways, now I need to go buy a new seat tomorrow. My other complaint is that when it is strapped in tight you cannot tighten the harness by pulling on the front adjuster strap. You have to reach around the back and pull on the harness while at the same time pull on the front adjuster strap. The harness in back is tight against the seat of the vehicle and is hard to pull tight. It is a pain to tighten my daughter in. I hoped it would have lasted a little longer as my daughtet is only 30lbs, but she is too tall, her shoulders are above the highest harness level. In the rear facing position it was a good seat, easy to buckle her in.
