Sony XS-L1236 Car Subwoofer

Pros: Sound great! not to bassy, hit hard when you push them!

Great subwoofers. Many will differ with my opinion but i love them. they sound clear and hit hard. I have 4 of these in my car when to a competition and got 4th with 145.5 dbs i was the only sony guy in my class and i beat all rockford Fosgate in my class. the only competition i had were Kicker Subs but you pay for it too. i only payed $45 per sub so i think i got a great deal for what it sounds like and i have an ear for good sounding stereo systems. I am pushing 2400 watts with the 4 subs and haven't blown them.

I love my Sonys. I hate to get rid of them. I have had them for about a year now, and they are still pumping. They sound really great if they are hooked up right and the power pumped to them. However, there are other speakers that do sound better. Overall, they are a good sub. Better than most that I have had.

The sony XS-L1236 is a good speaker for people who are just getting into the "car-system" thing. But for people that have been in for a while or know what there talking about sony doesn't have much of a chance of making any money.

I sell i.c.e for a living so i know a bit about car audio, and i can tell u that the sony XS-L1236 is ok for the money, but stay well clear and i mean well clear if u want SQ or real punch. It looks ok for some people but i believe it to be a bit tacky. If ur new to car audio give it a try and you will be happy... untill u hear someone else's system. I had my sony for about half a year running off a 500watt max amp, so i didnt give it a hard time and it seemed to last very well. I sold it a month ago to a mate and it still works fine. Good for the money but no Infinity!!
