Pros: Awesome sound, less distortion than JVC unit, solid build Cons: No MP3 playback, boring design does not match well with most cars
I purchased yet another Nissan Sentra, but this time it's a year older than the one I have. The last owner left the stock speakers and a Pioneer DEH-P350, and I was researching it to see if it would be a keeper, if I was going to have to upgrade. I ...
Pros: Great adjustability, very durable, more options than similarly priced units, remote. Cons: Dimmer doesn't dim much. Internal amp is hyped up (like all decks).
I have always been a fan of Pioneer head units for their reliability and the adjustability of the eq. When I went looking for something to replace my factory deck in my S-10 there wasn't too much question about what brand I was going for. I checked out ...
Pros: many sound options, good display, volume knob, 50wx4 mosfet amplifier Cons: fm reception not excellent, no cd song titles, aux input costs extra
Looking to add a thumping system to my 1992 honda accord, which was originally paired with a cheap old sony cd player with exceptionally weak fm radio reception, I did a lot of research and found that the deh-p350 was the best option for my price range ...
Pros: Clean, simple and non-gaudy look; high-pass filter is key if you don't have a subwoofer Cons: Absolutely LOUSY owner's manual!!! Also, no MP3 playback.
If I had to do it over again, would probably pay a little extra for an Eclipse head unit, hear nothing but raves about them on different car audio forums. I chose this one because of Pioneer's reputation, the amazingly reasonable price (though I ...
Control at your finger tips by imagin_dis ,Apr 08 '04
Pros: all the control you need, X-m and sub-woofer ready Cons: some small plastic parts, can be easy to break.
this deck gives me all the control i need for my sound system. its plain and simple to use. if i ever wanted to add aditional components to my system this deck is ready. it's x-m ready and sub-woofer ready. the only thing i have any concern about this deck is the way it attaches. you first have to clip it on to the bottom corners of the receivers then fold it into place. well were it clips are, the material is plastic and the parts are small. so im afraid if i force it in or put it on wrong it may break. it's also hard to attach in the dark.
Pros: Lots of features, affordable price. Cons: Buttons are a bit small.
I purchased this for my Sonata and I was blown away. The sound quality is excellent and you have a number of sound adjustments. It has a very clear display and is CD text compatible. If it will fit your car, buy it.
Good price and good quality by audiocobra ,Nov 08 '03
Pros: good sound settings, cd text, multi color display Cons: not enough buttons for all the different adjustible settings
o bought this from crutchfield along with 2 pairs of pioneer speakers. i installed it myself. i like the quality of the sound. the bass is good and i like the settings on it along with being able to set your own settings. the use the option that allows you to boost the bass in the back and the treb in the front since i like my bass. i haven't used them yet but there are 2 rca out puts on the back for low and highs 70 watts each. i'm going to use these for my subs once i get them. i love the text option it makes my friends think i got a really expensive head unit. i haven't had any problems with this unit at all. i would highly recomend this item.
Pioneer DEH-P3500 review by frostman_166 ,Sep 28 '03
Pros: Dual Preouts. 200watts total power. Remote control. Flip face. Multi-CD Control. XM capability. Cons: Not as many equilizers as other players but enough to satisfy.
This is an easy to use and easy to install in dash CD player. It has a good amount of operations while still being easy to use. A neat feature is the remote. I bought this player for my boat and now I think it is too good to put in the boat. It's definitly sticking with me after I sell the boat. It also has a whopping 200watts total power from the player and optional amplifier ports; one for a regular amp and one for a sub. It also has a multi-CD control function and XM capability. After all is said, it is a very good value and is a must have for the car audio enthusiest.
Pros: Remote
Detachable Face
Loud and Clear
XM Ready
Reads Burned CDS
Detachable Face Cons: Only 8 characters for the XM title display.
I bought this unit from http://www.pcxtremeaudio.com and it has been fantastic! The interface is easy to use and it makes adjusting my sound so easy. Hopefully I will be adding some more speakers to my system and this head unit has rca outputs for speakers AND a sub. The remote is pretty neat.
Pros: excellent tweaking factors, an hpf, 3 band digital eq, excellent reception enhancements for tuner. Cons: needs a stronger internal ampflier
Overall I was abit sceptical of a 149 dollar head unit being anything of quality, let us just say I was blown away, for this price it really can not be beat, the eq adjustments on it are quite impressive, I may even decide to use the h/u eq and x-over instead of even running an outboard!, if you are looking for a trustworthy head-unit that can be tweaked decently, for the money I would say go with Pioneer.
