I just picked up my Alpine CDA-9813 last week and I am quite happy with the quality of sound that this car deck outputs. I put my older model Alpine CDA-W550 in my wife's car. I purchased it at 12 Volt Car Audio & Security in Toronto, Ontario, (416-748-5803) and they even helped me tune it so that I wasn't complaining on the ride home. It is colourful, however you do have the Blackout option if you find it too bright. Overall, I am very satisfied and would have no hesitations in buying Alpine again if needed to.
