Pros: MP3 playback, retro faceplate, remote control and many more. Cons: None that I can ever think of.
Now that I drive a 1993 Volvo 960 that Iˇ¦ve bought from my uncle, since he recently bought a new Lexus GS430; I find that the factory installed tape deck doesn't really please my audio tastes. So, I decided to spend some time and money to spice up the...
Pros: Great skip protection; Plays every MP3 I've tried; Bright Display Cons: Browsing MP3s and folders is slow and tedious; Supports ID3v1 but not ID3v2.
I bought my DEH-P740MP about two months ago and for the most part I have been pleased. This is my first MP3 capable car stereo so I didn't really know what to expect from or to look for in the product line.
Pros: Amazing sound quality, Tons of features, Great styling and an even greater price. Cons: Slow load times when reading mp3 cds, Displays tend to get old.
To start things off, let me just say I have previously owned several Pioneer products and have not o ...
I bought this player about 3 months ago, and it has performed flawlessly ever since. I bought it because it had all the features you could ever want in a car MP3/CD player, and every other reasonably priced model was missing something. I picked mine up...
Pros: Beautiful electroluminescent display, Full-featured Cons: Unable to see full list of mp3 tracks, Slow MP3 load & seek
~~ Intro ~~ Your friends will think this stereo was very expensive. This was in the first wave of new MP3-capable car stereos put out by Pioneer. I think that some of today's most popular features weren't really fully explored when this one ...
Pros: Great looks, Sounds Great, Plays MP3 Cons: Slow MP3 track selection
For the money, you can probably find this product in the $250-$300 range, this is probably one of the sharpest looking, full featured player you can buy. Gotta have the MP3 playback ability. Personally I'm sick of looking through books of CD's when you...
Pros: Great EQ function Cons: Organic Display flickers w/bass
The pioneer DEH-P740MP cd and mp3 player works great. The sound quality is excellent, even at full blast thats usually a rarity for a car stereo. Also I find the Eq to be especially usefull. On this model you are given the ability to adjust low, mid, and...
Pros: Amazing Sound, Excellent Looks, Probably the best I found for the price. Cons: Detachable face plate is a little bit difficult to detach and attach.
I bought this system from J and R electronics(www.jandr.com) for $237.00. Great Deal against a list price of $400.00. I have been using this system for a week now and absolutely love the sound quality. It has a lot of functions but once the manual is...
Pros: A very nice headunit for the price Cons: Track skip speed
I'm just going to clarify some issues...
1. Somebody said that one of their complaints was that the display inverses every 20 seconds. This is the default setting, and it can be easily disabled. Phwew!
Pros: Great unit, cdr, cdrw, mp3 playback. Incredibly stable cd playback. Cons: none.
I had an Aiwa CD receiver in my 1997 Geo Tracker... this Aiwa was NOT a cheap unit - I bought it from Crutchfield and it was $175. The problem(s) I had with this unit ranged from the constant mistracking during CD playback (lets face it, the Geo Tracker...
Pros: Awesome display, great sound quality. Cons: MP3's load time, loading a cd, installation.
I bought this player about 2 weeks ago for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. After completely disassembling her entire front console on her Honda (a little over-excessive) I have it working. Unfortunately the player did not come with a drive cage,...
Pros: great power
mp3 playback Cons: loading mp3 somewhat slow
low volt rating
I highly recommend this deck to anyone. This deck performs excellently. Would buy again if had to. The price is reasonable also. I previously had a 6 disc in the dash changer, and then i switched to the Pioneer 7400 and it was the best switch i could...
Pros: awesome sound, excellent display, easy controls, tons of options, plays mp3's with accuracy and ease Cons: text doesn't automatically scroll, needs more screen savers
I would have to give this pioneer head unit a strong thumbs up. I could have bought several other head units that played mp3's, but I chose the pioneer because of its sleek appearance, and all the tons of options that it has. Anyway, once I got the...
Nice stereo, but doesn't have the same quality that the old Pioneer Premier's products. The RCA outputs have hi-freq noise: I have 3 MTX power amplifiers and the noise at low level is annoying.
Slow and tedious access for MP3 files.
Previously...
Pros: Excellent equalizer control, easy to use, attractive design. Cons: Car theft has made decks much less appealing; faces are a burden.
This piece of equipment is great not just for stereo crazed people, but also for the casual listener. It has both CD and radio functions, and has an intuitive equalizer design that makes setting the sound to your liking as easy as pressing a button......
Pros: Quality Sound, Customizable Equalizer and Crossver Cons: IF any, they are irrelevant.
This Pioneer head unit is damn good. I had originally wanted to buy the Premier DEH-P840MP model but it was too expensive. I'm glad I bought this one. It truly does the job.
The best part is the crossover that allows you to take the bass out...
Pros: MOSFET power 50*4, looks great, great support for XM receiver, easy to use remote Cons: No independent sub control
I bought this pioneer to replace a DEH-P3000, and am more than pleasantly satisfied with both it's performance and it's looks. Everyone that gets into my jeep just sits and stares at the OrganicEL display, with the fully involved animations, and is...
Pros: very good sound and very sharp look Cons: i would have like to see more video scenes
ive owned this product for quite some time now and im very happy. I havent had any problems with it. the only thing that is bad about it is how many times can u watch dolphins and racecars in the videos their should be more. i enjoyed how this product...
Pros: Full of features and awesome looking screen Cons: semi slow mp3 load time
Yes thats right Pioneer finally come out with a head unit that decodes MP3s. The wait was worth it too. The deck is awesome it has Pioneers EL display which looks great it has well over 16 different types of screen savers. Excellent sound quality, nice...
Everything about my 7400 was terrific, except for MP3 file/track operations. This is to say that, while it handled everything very, very well, any time you change file/track on a CD-ROM ("MP3 CD" [sic]), it took as long as 4˝ seconds to make the transition. This included backing up to the beginning of the current file/track!
Otherwise, it is a stunning unit. Even with a grayscale ("bluescale"?) display, the graphics and animation were still impressive.
The only reason I had for replacing mine after three years was a severe auto accident that slightly (!) damaged the unit.
Good MP3 player for the... by svtran_dt3000 ,Jan 19 '03
Good MP3 player for the money. Easy to install. Excellent anti-skip. Slow going from track to track on MP3 but tolerable. Doesn't display songs' title, only folder. No auxiliary input.
Overall this is a beautiful deck. The display is amazing and bright, the quality of the audio is stunning. The included credit-card sized remote works great too. My friend has an Alpine mp3 player; his is much faster but costs about $100 more. This is a great value for anyone, the quality between this model and the cheaper Jensen mp3 player is well worth the price.
This was a great product as it was detailed and outlined carefully. The price range was intermediate and that is around my budget. I love this product.
