Pros: Front Passenger air bag off button. Still drives and handles great. Cons: Cheaper, less luxurious interior. Poor cup holders. I-drive very distracting. Headrests are hard. The Bottom Line: Stay with the older 5 series. New 5 is not worth the money.
I just had a new 5 series loaner from BMW for the day while my 01 530i was in for service. The loaner had the same options mine has, premium package and automatic. Although the exterior styling is awesome, the interior leads much to be desired. In ...

Pros: Terrific drive, refined interior, combines driving fun with luxury. Cons: Cupholders are still stupid. Agressive styling and iDrive controller will take some getting used to. The Bottom Line: This is one of the finest cars available today. Combines fun, sporty driving with refined luxury.
I've been reading a lot of negative press lately on the E60 5 Series. So when it came time to replace my 1999 E39 528i, I approached the test drive with some trepidation. I test drove a six-speed 2005 530i. I was very impressed. Even though I was not ...

Pros: LOOKS & Style, built solid, Sound System, I-drive, drive & comfort. Cons: Low End power, Pricey, Cup Holders, Seat Belt Alarm if you don't wear it. The Bottom Line: Would I buy this car again? YES. I love the looks of this car and the lower horsepower of the 525i isn't that bad. Thumbs up :)
First off I really wanted a 530i and I wouldnt even look at a 525i because I figured that the lack of horsepower would be a problem, especially since most of the cars I have owned had a lot more hps the last 2 cars I owned had 300 & 285 hp. ...

Pros: Styling, performance, handling, ride, refinement--just about everything Cons: iDrive, front headrests block view of rear seat passengers, pricing The Bottom Line: The best choice for the driving enthusiast seeking a midsize luxury sedan
Last summer I encouraged my father to buy a Mazda RX-8 to supplement his Lexus GS 400. Now the Lexus rarely leaves the garage, foiling my plans to buy the Mazda from him when he tires of it. He's simply not tiring of it like he did the 350Z last year. ...

Pros: BEAUTIFUL car....love everything about it... Cons: Needs 4-wheel drive or its useless in winter
This car is a stylish and great car to buy, but I do have one MAJOR problem with the car. When I got this car it was before they had 4-wheel drive .. and MY GOD! it is HORRIBLE in the snow.... You MUST get the BMW 525X with 40wheel drive. With out 4-wheel drive you are useless in the winter time. I experienced sliding backwards while driving up a hill with just a dusting of snow on the road! not to mention I do not have snow tires. But even with Snow tires and traction control, with out 4-wheel drive... the car is almost useless in the snow....thank god my lease is up soon! If you do not have 4-wheel drive or another car to drive in the snow, you cant go anywhere even if its a tiny bit of snow on the roads.... 3 to 5 times each winter I was stuck on the side of the road seeking a tow truck or a ride home.....its not a good thing....and its to much of a hassle to get out of a lease....so I would recommend not getting this car unless it has 4-wheel drive! :c)
