Pros: great gas mileage, alot of room for passengers, stylish, safe, dependable and affordable
Cons: may not hold its value as well as newer models of the chevrolet impala
The Bottom Line: This is a great car in all circumstances. I recommend it to anyone and everyone considering. Have fun in your new ride!!

The 2005 model of the Chevrolet Impala is the last year with this body style. It is a very dependable family sociable car. It has lots of room front seat and back for five passengers and some models six passengers. It is not very high tech so to ... read more

Surprisingly good, and bad.

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Good, ride, handling, and MPG.
Cons: Starter won't disengage. Cruise randomly disengages. Manufacturer makes excuses, and refuses to back product.
The Bottom Line: A vehicle is only as good as it's Manufacturer's willingness to back their product. Customers should make their choice to buy a vehicle with that prime consideration in mind.

This car, which is just over 2 years old now, been driven very gently, and has just now clicked over 60K mostly road miles has been decent except for the run around from the "factory warranty". I'm impressed with the ride, handling, and definitely with ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handling; roomy; many standard options; well built; economical; good acceleration; great looks!
Cons: front skid guard scrapes over parking curbs; rough surfaces road noise; stereo good, not great.
The Bottom Line: This is one of the best values out there in sedans and IMO is better than the Honda Accord and equal to the Toyota Camry.

I previously had a Lumina I liked and bought a used 2005 Impala from a rental company. I made sure it had at least anti-lock brakes and traction control. I then bought an upgraded back seat from a junk yard and then installed a leather kit over the ... read more

Pros: Roomy, gas mileage, smooth ride, reliability.
Cons: Glove box has a very poor design. Sometimes has hard shift and strange start.
My last car was a Chevy Lumina which I adored. I was very disappointed when they discontinued the model but heard that it would be replaced with the Impala. I purchased my 2005 Impala one year ago and it hasn't disappointed me. The car rides like a
