Pros: Acceleration, highway fuel economy, back seat room, hatchback room, 16 inch wheels, driving position Cons: Fit and finish, city fuel economy, easily stained seats The Bottom Line: Good used car value for the money. I would avoid buying one brand new due to depreciation. Roomy backseat, roomy cargo area, good highway fuel economy.
A friend of ours leased a new Maxx, and after driving it we decided to search for our own. We were coming out of a Jeep Liberty and desired better fuel economy and similar room inside. The Maxx is an impressive package wrapped around a capable engine ... read more

Pros: Fuel economy, power, looks. Cons: Weak front suspension, too little cushion in front seats, weak hood and front fenders The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car. Excellent MPG, Looks good, much less expensive that friends import both on front end and up keep.
I am not your typical reviewer. I actually own and USE this car daily as you will see. I needed a gas miser to replace my Dodge 1/2 ton that only got 15 mpg. I use this car for business, mostly highway miles about 5,000 per MONTH. It had 13,600 when I ... read more

Pros: * Smooth ride for good price.
* Good visibility.
* Fuel economy about 24MPG. Cons: * Feature computer integrated into the radio which precludes installing after-market unit just as good. The Bottom Line: Very good car for reasonable price. Very different from its predecessors yet brings together the best of the Malibu tradition.
Having driven a 1999 Malibu (Third Generation) for five years, and loving it, I really didn't plan on getting another Malibu. I mean, it was my chance to get a different car so why would I want to get the same car? So I shopped around for a different ... read more

Pros: Great mileage, good looks and big trunk! Cons: Poor interior lighting and ugly cloth fabric! The Bottom Line: Great rental and outstanding mid sized car. Lots of room and great mileage. I would buy this car.
I travel frequently so I rent cars frequently. There are some cars I will not accept as rentals. This was the first time I was offered a Malibu. My experience was two weeks of delight at this great car which is wonderful at the tank, a delight to ... read more

Pros: Good Mileage for Size, Sturdy, Remote Start, Good Value, Safe Cons: May Depreciate Faster Than Imports, Long Term Reliability is a Question Mark The Bottom Line: Give it a try! This is a solid family sedan that you may get for a much better price than comparable imports.
First of all, my wife and I test drove a Mazda 3, Nissan Altima, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. We narrowed it down to the Corolla and the Malibu when we decided we wanted something a bit bigger and a V6. We purchased the car new in December 2005 and ... read more

Pros: Great price for incredible options. Drives like a dream. Cons: Loud sunroof that was cured with a windscreen. The Bottom Line: If you want a great car for a great price look no further. Read the reviews on the net for the '04/'05. This is nothing like the previous Malibu.
SUMMARY: I have owned the car for a month now. I have the LT with every bell and whistle (XM, OnStar, 6 CD IN DASH just to name a few). The car has leather appointed seats (this means that the edges are one type of leather, and the actual seating ... read more

Pros: Well Built, Explosive Engine Cons: Heating/AC system The Bottom Line: Chevy has a winner here that will compete with all vehicles in the family sedan market.
Chevrolet and the rest of American automakers have been constantly trying to compete with the well designed Japanese family sedan models. For many years they have been trying to create a bonafide competitor to the Accord, Camry, and Altima. Finally there ... read more
