Pros: Lots of Room and features, very comfortable, everything we were looking for! Cons: A little more power would of been nice, front dash plain. The Bottom Line: Very good Van, Comfortable and lots of room, drives and handles better than any previous GM Van, exactly what we were looking for!
First a little history on my recent vehicles” I used to have a 95 Windstar several years back and liked the idea of a Van but the Windstar was plagued with problems, and had nothing but trouble when ever we tried towing our tent trailer. After ...

Pros: Integrated child seat, DVD player (when it worked), lots of cargo space Cons: Brakes and rotors often, automatic sliding doors do not work, takes 5 tries to start The Bottom Line: It is roomy but, it handles lousy, has a noisy interior and the power sliding doors and DVD player broke. Lots of vans are roomy, you can find better.
Ive had the Chevy Uplander for almost three years, and Im counting the days until my lease is up. It is not the worst vehicle Ive ever had, I once had a Beretta that racked up a monthly repair bill that rivaled my rent at the time, but I ...

Pros: Standard DVD, custom cloth seats, refined interior, 5-star frontal crash rating, lots of room inside. Cons: Standard OnStar doesn't offer many services. The Bottom Line: Great vehicle for the amount of standard options and the quality look and feel of the interior. The standard DVD system a huge plus.
The refined version of the old GM minivan is a tremendous improvement over the older models. I owned a 2000 Pontiac Montana and this is virtually the same vehicle, but 10 times better. To start, the exterior has a more aggressive stance and ...

Pros: good gas mileage, seats seven, DVD player, bumper sensors, automatic sliding doors Cons: hard to fit into tight parking spots The Bottom Line: The Uplander has been the perfect choice for our family. Lots of room and features that make it perfect. I think it's a good choice for a vehicle.
Our family purchased a 2005 Chevy Uplander from a dealership in Texas. We absolutely fell in love with it the minute we test drove it! Ours is what I call tan, but they called it pewter I believe. It has tan interior as well. Ours holds seven, has ...

Pros: Power on the highway is phenominal. DVD-head phones are wireless. Strong face. Redesigned tough looking. Cons: Interior colour grey dirties with every touch. cheap upolstry
I was determined not to buy a minivan. I loved the Equinox, the Passat, the Murano even. When I sat in the Uplander for the first time. (short wheel base) I didn't feel like I was in a van. It rides high like a truck. I can keep all the seats in and ...

Pros: Love the room, body style, handling, power is good. Cons: Keeps breaking down, gets depressing, this is new, shouldnt be happening. The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this van, after my own personal experience.
We bought this van instead of a trailblazer, wish we would've opted for the trailblazer now. The Van does have a lot of room inside with seating for 7. The dvd and sound system are really good. It handles and accelerates great, the wider 17" tires help ...

Pros: Great fuel economy. Great daily driver and even better for the long haul trips. Cons: Typecast as a "mini-van". The Bottom Line: Buy one for the wife & family. All will be impressed with the many options that are considered as "Standard equipment" on the Uplander.
I like many feared the whole "mini-van" type casting that comes with ownership. It has been an easy transition with this vehicle from the fuel unfriendly SUV's. We jumped into a 2005 Chevy Uplander for a test drive at our local dealership and never ...

Pros: DVD player, room for 7 plus storage, rear AC outlet Cons: weak transmission on hills. Rear vent windows are both controlled by one switch The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle to everyone with kids. We have had only positive experiences with this van and would purchase it again.
My wife did a lot of research for a new van and decided that she liked the uplander. During a trip to illinois with our windstar we stopped at the chevy dealer and decided to buy the uplander. The vehicle has run great with little problems. I just ...

Pros: DVD system, looks different but not a bad different i don't think Cons: acceleration not the best The Bottom Line: Yes i would recommend because the car seemed very well built, but wait for the '06 or '07 version to make sure all the "bugs" are out of the design
We rented this van in late Aug. of this year. I only got to drive it once or so, but since i didn't drive i enjoyed the DVD player. I really liked that it comes standard with the DVD player so you don't have to pay more for the rental car. The back seats ...

Pros: lots of features for the money. Cons: engine replacement, and multiple other issues The Bottom Line: Do not buy this van. Chevrolet had a great van with the Venture, I don't know what went wrong with the Uplander, but it has multiple issues!!
I had owned the previous Chevrolet Venture and had it for over 100K and it was NEVER in the shop except for regular maintance of oil changes and tires, etc. From day 1 my uplander has been un reliable. It has been in the shop about as much as I have ...

2006 Uplander

Pros: Very comfortable Cons: No hangers for dry cleaning. Somewhat under-powered for size.
Van looks like new Envoys and Trail Blazers but longer. It takes some getting used to as I have owned 6 Dodge Caravans AWD. Dodge stopped making them for the stow-and-go-seating which left no room for the rear drive axle.
It is a very nice vehicle loaded with all the latest DVD, MP3, PHAT Sound, etc. For a vehicle this decked out it should have a coat hook you can reach easliy from the side doors not have to try and hang laundry over the first row of seats.
I was told when I bought that the Uplander is going out of production and this (2006) is the last year. To bad because I like and need AWD in Montana.

Pros: DVD wireless headphones, OnStar Cons: Body molding fit needs to be addressed at the factory
I purchased a Uplander LS three weeks ago. Really happy with the the vehicle, lots of perks and a reasonable price. The 17" aluminum wheels really make it standout, and one year free OnStar is a nice bonus as well! I test drove all the mini-vans (except the Kia), and the best bang for the buck was the Uplander. Sure the Honda was nice, but it's about 5-6,000 more for the same options. I tested the stow and go seats on the Chrysler and Nissan, and I didn't like them at all. They reminded me of fancy lawn chairs, no way I buckle my children into those seats

Pros: DVD player, MP3 player, more room than it seems Cons: So far I don't have any complaints
As a former SUV driver with a slightly expanded family, I was not thrilled with the idea of a minivan, but sometimes the family dictates your life. I did some research on the computer ahead of time and this was the only van I drove. I loved it! Bought it the same day. The kids are thrilled with the standard DVD player and I love the cd/mp3 player. Not that all cars offer radio controls on the steering wheel, but my old SUV had this feature, and I was pleased to find that the van has this as well. I don't know all the outs and ends as far as the engine and technical, but I do know that everyone who sees it and especially rides in it, loves it. The uplander is very roomy and the first time I went to the grocery store I was convinced that to fit all the bags I was going to have to fold some seats down-not so! As small as the back cargo area looks, it really holds quite a bit of stuff! We will definately keep this one for a while!

Pros: WIFE LIKES, DVD FOR KIDS, SAT FOR DAD, GREAT VAN FOR LONG TRIPS. Cons: NOT LIKE 2005,ALOT OF PROBLEMS, IN SHOP A LOT. CHEVY RED TAG PRICE A JOKE
STYLE IS SHORTER THAN 2005. HOOD IS DIFFERENT. TO GET A GOOD MODEL NEED TO GET A LT2 MODEL. GAS MILIAGE IS VERY UP AND DOWN. THE 2005 HAS $3500 REBATE IS A BETTER DEAL, 2006 HAS A $1500 REBATE AND WITH RED TAG SALE LOOSE REBATE ALL TOGETHER. CHEVY CAR DEALERS LOVE THIS DEAL. ALL SO I TRADED A 2005 FOR A 2006 AND 8 MONTHS LOST $10,000.00 RESALE ON TRADE JUST NOT GOOD. THE SEATS HAVE CHANGED IN 2ND ROW AND NO CONSOLE?? THIS BAD. THE 3RD ROW PASSEANGERS ARE REAL TOUGH TO GET OUT, SEAT DON'T SLIDE AHEAD JUST FOLD DOWN. MAKE SURE KIDS IN WAY BACK AND ADULTS IN 2ND ROW. IF BUY ONE OF THESE BETTER SEE ALL GETTING, GM CHANGED PACKAGES AND CHEAPEN THEM. GOT TO GET A LT2 OR LT3 TO GET LIKE A 2005 MODEL. IF WANT MORE INFO: EMAIL ME @ UPLANDER@J2WELL.COM

Pros: Comfort, Style and DVD for the kids Cons: Everything electrical that can go wrong has gone wrong!
We have had the Uplander for a full year and have not been pleased with it at all. We chose the Uplander over the Toyota because of always owning GM products. However, they have let us down on this one. Big Time. Multiple electrical problems such as the headlights flickering, the radio changing channels, the gas gauge not working, engine, abs, and traction control warning lights coming on and multiple trips to the dealer with no results.
