Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Feel safe driving.  Great features. 20MPG.  Smooth handling.  Hauls the whole family comfortably.
Cons: Carpeted floors. Third row windows don't open.  My teenagers always want to drive it.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this SUV.  I have never enjoyed a vehicle as much as my Dodge Durango.

My 2005 Dodge Durango Limited rocks! When my youngest daughter was born, we needed a larger vehicle to haul everybody around.  We splurged a bit and purchased the Limited with leather seats, DVD player, etc. With a new baby it was important ... read more

I LOVE MY DURANGO

by
Dec 7, 2007 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Stylish, hardworking, great to drive, comfortable, price was right.
Cons: Gas mileage is a little low but it is compatible to a normal trucks mileage.
The Bottom Line: I LOVE MY DURANGO. This would be great for a family that has a bunch of kids, dogs, and stuff. Pulls the horse trailer without a problem.

I bought my Dodge Durango brand new. This was the first vehicle I have owned that was brand new. I love the interior. I have cloth seats, so they are warm and comfortable in the winter and cool and comfortable in the summer. No stuck butt on my ... read more

Not The Best For Big Families

by
Oct 1, 2007 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great look, great interior style
Cons: Carseat mounts located in a bad spot
The Bottom Line: Buy this car if you love style, but not if you have a large family with babies!

When I set out to buy the SUV of my dreams, I researched and researched many makes and models. I settled on the Dodge Durango for the mere style and seemingly great function. I was taken aback, after my purchase, at the realization that I could not fit ... read more

Not completely satisfied.

Apr 18, 2006 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: Ride unstable, tires?????
Cons: Gas for the size engine, seems to be good.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this vehicle. Safety was left out when they designed this vehicle. Rough ride, wind noise and road noise.

My 2005 Durango, SLT has 20,000 plus miles. I have had a lot of problems with the tires. Where I bought my Durango, they have not been very helpful. First there was the swaying of the truck over bumps, even small. I was told no one else has said ... read more

SUV for a MOPAR Man

by
Apr 15, 2006 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Seating capacity, towing capacity, styling, available options, crash protection, factory incentives
Cons: Windshield wipers ineffective during heavy rain, gas mileage
The Bottom Line: This SUV is better than I could have expected. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for an all purpose vehicle that has few notable flaws.

Nothing can be more frustrating that constantly dealing with a vehicle that breaks down. The old "nickel and dime" approach to car ownership is very tiresome. With my old Explorer showing its age, and my fun car (see review for 1998 Dodge Viper) not ... read more

HEMI power, durability and functionality

by
Jun 16, 2005 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth ride, high quality, quiet, powerful HEMI engine
Cons: gas milage
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended, I'm almost certain I'll be picking up a 2006 model.

I am in DaimlerChrysler's employee lease program, and I currently have two 2005 Durangos. One of them is much nicer, with a Hemi, and the other is a much less elegant model with a smaller engine. While the Hemi model is obviously much quicker, the model ... read more

I bought my 2005 Durango Limited w/Hemi just about one month ago. I'm impressed. I traded in a 2001 Durango on this one and did not think there was much room for improvement...boy was I wrong. This truck rides MUCH better, has MUCH better visability, ... read more

We purchased a Durango Limited in January 2005. We opted for the Hemi. This is a great vehicle. The pick up and overall power is great. Before buying I did a lot of research. Most people seemed happy with the car, but complain about the gas ... read more

Great Value For The Money

by
Mar 15, 2005 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The Hemi engine
Cons: Reduced visibility outside for tall drivers.
The Bottom Line: The fact that the vehicle is new from the ground up, along with a good price, makes this a deal compared to what's out there!

The new Durango I've found to be a very pleasant riding vehicle (for an SUV), and it handles quite well in lieu its size. Considering that it's design and construction is all new from the ground up since 2004, was one of the primary reasons I bought ... read more

Cons: Horrible warranty coverage, poorly constructed.
We recently purchased our Dodge Durango with 20k miles on it. At first we were very happy with our new SUV, but soon problems started to creep up. We started to hear a loud wind noise coming from the rear drivers side door or window, a clunking noise ... read more

Cons: Visibility, gas mileage (but what do you expect with a V8?)
We traded in our 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe for our Durango, looking for something bigger that could tow. Boy did we get what we wanted in the 2005 Durango! We keep the third seat down, so there is substantial storage space in the back. Plus the seating is ... read more

I have owned my 2005 Durango SLT 5.7 l HEMI since October 2005. I have had nothing but problems with it. The overdrive doesn't hold when going downhill. When in 1st or second gear in the mountains, the transmission cannot figure out a constant speed - ... read more
