Pros: Navigation, roomy, easy to handle, comfortable Cons: N/A
Well I drove this car to my junior prom and although things didn't work out with my date, the car was not to blame. I easily found the home of my date, the restaurant, the way back to the school, and even the way to the after-prom party with the user-friendly navigation system. The DVD player was great to have when I got bored, and getting stuck in traffic was nothing with the roomy and comfortable interior space. Easy to turn and drive this car was everything I could have asked for. Although the third row seat does look a little odd because when folded down it still is apparent that its there, and its raised higher that the other seats, it is still very comfortable.

BIG Disappointment

Pros: Great engine Cons: Shoddy construction cheap materials/parts, Nissan/Infiniti doesn't seem to care.
Shoddy construction, cheap parts, uncaring manufacturer, that pretty much sums it up. Hundred of complaints have been filed with the NHTSA and in a number of forums against the QX56 and it stable mates the Armada and Titan. It seems that me and many other people do not like getting the brakes reworked every 3000-4000 miles, the overhead console falling off or vibrating so badly you cannot watch the overpriced little DVD player, rattles and squeaks that the stereo cannot drown out, grit and flaws in the paint, a number of electrical gremlins related to the seat/steering wheel memory, cruise control, stereo, backup sonar, etc.
The floor mats are the symbol, the embodiment of the QX56. After three months the QX56 logo started peeling off and I realized that it was just a cheap patch attached to cheap carpet with cheap glue.
I have owned my "Q" since June 2004 and it had 3 brake jobs by the time it had 9500 miles on it including the rotors replaced at 6657, and it has been in the shop 9 times.
It sure looks good though, I was seduced by the pretty face, little did I know ......

Great Ride!

Pros: Value - standard items vs. any of its competitors. It's got great getup and go. Cons: Some materials look cheap.
The QX56 is a steal (value) compared to some of its competition. Yes, I agree that the materials maybe aren't quite as elegant as a Lexus. But...the 56 offers everything you'd want for the money and then some. In fact, just about everything comes standard. There's very little left to add-on. I looked at the Escalade, Navigator, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser. None of them compared to performance and value. The ride is tight. It has the best turning radius by a long-shot. It also has auto up/down windows on all four. Great headroom and legroom if you're on the tall side. I'm 6'5" and fit fine. The list goes on. I'm very pleased with my 56.

QX56-2008 What a car

Pros: Comfort and ride Cons: Fuel economy--it is 13 and 16--not too stellar.
I traded in my Infiniti M45 for the QX56. The QX56 is the largest vehicle I have ever ownerd and seemed to make less sense, especially in to days high fuel cost marketplace. But after test driving the 2007 and feeling underwhelmed, the salesman showed me some of the changes from 2007 to 2008 so I test drove the '08. I am glad I did--what a ride. The power is there to pass and with the great suspension, the ride is smooth and steady. The vehicle is loaded with every form of bell and whistle such as a Bose sound system, 14 speakers; rear camera for backing up, killer nav system, bluetooth voice activated, heated seats, heated wheel, and so much more. Three row seating with electronically controlled rear seats; DVD player; the Bose sound is nice but I think my M45 sound was a little neater; memory seating, ; lots of space for storage; comfortable seating (everyone has commented); nice stylish design. I really thought I was going to miss the M45, which I had for 3 years, but the QX56 has blurred my memory of that great car. A trip to Virginia was like driving a Caddy.
