Pros: Great handling, good on gas, excellent braking system Cons: recall notices by Jeep are an inconvenience at most The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the Jeep Liberty to everyone. It is an excellent vehicle that gets great gas mileage with minimal problems.
I originally looked into buying my Jeep Liberty because I thought it was one of the better looking vehicles in its class. I then did some research and found that Jeep had the best features, both in safety and asthetics,in the kind of vehicle I was looking ...

Pros: Diesel version uses bio-fuel OR regular Diesel. Handles great. Excellent all weather. Stylish. Cons: Pick up from a stop is slow. Noise when driving. Small glove compartment. The Bottom Line: Recommend highly for anyone considering a small SUV.
This is without a doubt the best purchase I have made all year. I purchased this as a bit of an impulse buy, but since I had owed several Jeeps through the years and was always satisfied, it just seemed like the thing to do at the moment. The Diesel ...

Pros: MPG, power, 4x4, towing Cons: Chrysler, cubbies for small items, offroad clearances The Bottom Line: Buy the vehicle you will love it, but realize Chrysler WILL NOT take care of you.
The vehicle has done everything I have ever asked. It is big enough for everything I do, it gets great gas mileage for an SUV (22-23 in town, 27-28 highway) and it has a very capable offroad system. The engine is very quite for a diesel and has an ...

Pros: None Cons: Bad transmission, Poor craftsmanship, Poor warranty service The Bottom Line: Do Not Buy!!! Buyers, be aware of transmission problem.
I purchased a brand new 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport with 2.4L 6 Speed Manual in August of 2005. After 1 week with less than 100 miles on odometer, I started to experience "Pup out" or "Slip out" problem on 1st gear. When I start moving 0 to 5 MPH with the ...

Pros: styling, ride, interior room Cons: fuel consumption, lack of interior compartments for sunglasses, cell phone, etc The Bottom Line: At this point, I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a small SUV. Its a good size for couples, good amount of cargo room and fairly versatile.
Ok, so I just got rid of a lemon of a car, (please refer to my epinion review of the 1999 Cadillac STS).... and I decided to get into an SUV. I didn't want one of those huge overbearing SUV's, so I was looking at SUV's such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda ...

Pros: Looks, quality, no mechanical problems. Cons: Seat materials, MPG, some door problems. The Bottom Line: Bad resale value, other owners experiencing problems at 75K mileage.
I have had my 2005 Jeep Liberty for about 5 months and overall it is a great mini-suv. I have the V6 with auto trans rated at 5K towing. I got a car dolly and towed a rabbit home without any problems, but outside my quad trailer I really wouldn't have ...

Pros: Is a LOT more roomy than it appears; nice, smooth ride Cons: Needs more "cubbies" for stuff (change, etc.); so far, that is my ONLY "complaint" The Bottom Line: I totally LOVE my Jeep Liberty and am definitely planning on eventually trading up to a better model with more of the bells and whistles I want!
My prior car was costing too much to fix and was in the shop so much that it was time to buy another. We were looking for a nice used car in the same size range as the Ford Taurus I had. Purely on a lark, I test drove a 2002 Liberty, fully expecting to ...

Pros: Engine, headlights, handling, engine sound, interior styling, exterior styling, cargo space, off-road capabilities Cons: Windshield bug splatting, stoplight viewing for the tall, stock tires, gasoline hunger The Bottom Line: It handles well, moves people and stuff well, is a safe vehicle, and has ample power. So get it, you won't be disappointed! It also stops well in snow.
I purchased this vehicle in March 2005 with help from my family as a birthday present to replace my aging 89 Buick Riviera. I bought this vehicle for several reasons. I wrecked my old vehicle in a blizzard in West Virginia. I shopped around for ...

Pros: Styling, roominess, capability Cons: Gas mileage The Bottom Line: I recommend the Renegade - it is the best of the three models they offer and the most capable.
I recently purchased a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade. For the most part, I am pleased with my purchase. I was looking for a more capable SUV that still maintained some car-like qualities. I looked at such offerings as a Kia Sportage and Sorento, the ...

Pros: Design, material quality, ride quality, space, it's a Jeep 4x4. Cons: I have yet to find any worth mentioning. The Bottom Line: It's a Wrangler trapped in a baby Grand Cherokee's body. If you want a Jeep, this is it.
For about a year, I have been trying to get rid of my 2001 Daewoo Nubira without being turned over and beaten with a hose. Then a couple months ago, I was able to get rid of it. Now, I've had "two" dream cars my entire life: Bimmer and Jeep. So I decided ...

Pros: Mileage, resale, towing, great off roading, reliability, unique, rare, can run on alternative fuels. Cons: Limited production, dealers may mark up prices, can't buy it new in 5 CARB states. The Bottom Line: The Jeep Liberty CRD is a true off-roader and has great towing, a great transmission, and a great turbo diesel engine with great mileage.
The long awaited Jeep Liberty CRD is finally here! I was anxiously awaiting the release of the Jeep Liberty CRD, and I am one of the first CRD owners in the US. The Jeep Liberty CRD is the first American SUV diesel sold in the US in 20 years. There is ...

Pros: Listed above Cons: MPG & price The Bottom Line: Jeep has found something truly magical with the wheelbase geometry of this vehicle. The Liberty has earned the Jeep name, and I highly recommend it.
Here are my driving impressions from the night of 1-6-05, note, they are only my opinions. Well, I test-drove the new 2005 Jeep Liberty "Limited" on unplowed roads last night. I've driven the Libertys when they first came out, I was not impressed ...

Pros: Good looking and handling. Solid appearance, excellent off road qualities, manual 4X4 selector Cons: 30% more vinyl than in previous "Limited" model years. No more "Instant fuel mileage". Rust. The Bottom Line: The "Limited" is not worth the extra $ 4,000. We recommend to buy the "Sport" version and upgrade it.
Our friend has a 2002 Liberty Limited and we decided to buy a 2005, believing that we would get an updated version of his car. What we found out after having bought it about 4 weeks ago was: 1.) we paid $ 4,000 more because ...
