It's a Matter of Personal Opinion

Pros: looks nice, cozy, roomy Cons: costly, not 100% reliable, not always gas saver
My husband and I invested in this car as gas prices were climbing, and as the distance he had to travel from home to work was getting farther and farther. We thought that it would save on money and would be a reliable car. Indeed, we were wrong on both accounts. It would stop running - completely shutting off - at stoplights, stop signs, yields, and the like. And, as far as saving on money, we had to pay so much for the car that we didn't save anything at all in the long run. My husband was having to fill up every day, and he drives about 100 miles per day, or a little more. It was, in our opinion, getting expensive. Depending on your driving conditions, and your personal opinion - it may or may not be the car for you. We ended up and sold the car to someone else who was very interested in having one - at any expense. He knew the problems we were having with it and said he wanted it anyway.

A Great Car!

Pros: 50 MPG fuel consumption, nice creature comforts and a roomy interior Cons: low profile makes it difficult to see beyond large vehicles
This car is roomier and zippier than you might imagine. Even the back seats are quite roomy in the 2005 model. It has all of the creature comforts of a standard to luxury automobile and you can't beat the fuel consumption (47 mpg when I first bought it, 51 mpg now -- after 20,000 miles). There are very few dash panel controls. They are on the steering wheel and/or the touch screen computer display panel. Cup racks and many storage compartments are conveniently located throughout the passenger compartment. Trunk room is ample and the back seats fold down for additional space if needed for transporting larger items. The sound system is very good.
On the negative side, the low to ground body is easier to dent (curbs, gas station islands, etc.) and the low profile makes it more difficult to see street signs and distinguish between toll booth lanes beyond trucks and other larger vehicles.
I have driven Honda Accord EXs and a 2001 Toyota Prius before this car. I prefer this car to any of those cars.

Pros: Very good gas millage, Very nice features, Awesome audio system Cons: Key Remote thing costs a lot to replace
The Toyota Prius is the best car I have ever drove. The gas millage is untouchable and the features are like those of a concept car. I found the audio system is quite good. This makes a good car for everyday driving and it has the sports car look. The oil filter is easy to get to and adding fluids is easy. The backseats don't have a lot of headroom but legroom is good. I don't like how the interior didn't come in grey or black because the inside of the hatchback is black and the dash is black. The tan doesn't look so great to me. I think it is a nice car to get and it will save you a lot on gas.
