Clarion DXZ716 Car CD Player

Pros: aluminum styling, reliability, loud, quality sound right out of the box, did I say RELIABLE?
Cons: radio turns on automatically when CD is taken out, but no biggy

I bought this CD player after doing a lot of research and always hearing praise for Clarion from friends and car audio buffs. I ran across this model at a Fry's Electronics and was attracted to the silver finish and fresh animation, and then was blown away by the price. $160 plus free installation. I was very close to paying twice as much for brands such as Alpine, Pioneer, and Eclipse, with the SAME features. This thing is loaded, not just with the usual like CD changer control and 50 watts per channel, but the tech stuff TOO! Like 3 sets of 4 volt preamps, detailed sound shaping, and 24 bit D/A converters. When I hooked up two great pairs of Infinity speakers, this thing roared! I haven't bought subs and amps yet, and the quality of the sound right out of the box is the reason. Of course I will later, as I am an audio buff. But if you wish to have just a simple set up, this will more then please.
