I've owned my pair of Columbia Telecommunications Group GMRS/FRS model FRS22SPR 2-way radios for a year or two. I've taken them on several hikes and camping trips and tried unsuccessfully to get them to work reliably. One of the two radios would not transmit. I also tried unsuccessfully to get the "good" radio to work with other working radios. There is a good reason why some websites are selling these radios for less than $10/pair. They are only one step above two tin cans connected by string. Spend a little more and get something that actually is usable.
