Pros: Menu somewhat user friendly; battery life good. Cons: LCD screen useless in outdoor lighting; shutter lag time way too long.
A few years ago, I made the very vague mistake of telling my husband that I wanted a new digital camera for Christmas. I didn't specify any particular brand name or megapixel requirement and thus ended up with this Concord Camera Eye-Q Duo 2000 ...
Back during tax refund season, I decided I wanted to jump into the world of digital cameras. I selected the Concord Eye-Q Duo 2000 because it was also being bundled with a Lexmark Z-33 printer and was on clearance at Wal-Mart for $132 - the camera itself ...
Pros: very easy to work Cons: pic quality less than great
The old saying is 100% right on with this camera. You get what you pay for. I bought this camera as my first digital camera. I didn't know if I would like a digital camera or find a lot of uses for it as I like 35 mm photography with different lenses ...
Pros: Price Cons: Quality is poor, lacks functions, holds very few pictures
Whoever said, "You get what you pay for" was exactly right when it comes to this inexpensive digital camera. I had a very nice Olympus digital camera that eventually bit the dust. On an impulse,I purchased this camera, the Concord Duo 2000 because it ...
Pros: decent quality/price, lots of features Cons: no optical zoom, lcd dark,
I've had this camera for almost a year and I have mixed feelings about it. I consider myself an intermediate to advanced amateur photographer so I'm picky about quality. My other camera is an old Canon AE-1 SLR, and I love manual cameras. At the same t ...
depends what your looking for by mariah_is_me ,Sep 25 '07
Pros: inexpensive, good for first time camera, indoor pictures come out fine, easy to figure out Cons: see above
This camera was pretty easy to figure out how to use. I have had mine for a couple years, and it has recently been messing up. It will barely turn on anymore (the battery's are fine- I tested them on something else) and It had recently been freezing and getting confused.
CONS (wouldnt fit it the cons area)
it has pretty bad battery life, videos don't get sound and aren't very good quality, outdoor pictures are like impossible to take, not very high tech, has a really long waiting period before it actaully takes the picture when you press the button, making it difficult when you have a baby because they move so much
Pros: THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS CAMERA ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING - THIS CAMERA IS A PIECE OF JUNK.
Got this camera as a gift. Does NOT take decent pictures no matter how hard you try, does NOT have color LED no matter what they tell you on the reviews. You MIGHT get one picture out of 20 tries. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA, YOU WILL BE HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTED.
Has been an "okay" first camera by nursylori ,Dec 30 '04
Pros: Very inexpensive, but you do get what you pay for. Cons: Limited battery life. Very unclear photos. Bad outdoor photos.
I got my Concord Eye-Q Duo 2000 digital camera for Christmas a couple of years ago. At that point, I just wanted a digital camera and didn't care about quality. I've taken thousands of pictures with it, so I'm sure I've got my parent's money's worth out of it and then some. It is definitely not a good camera for taking outdoor or nighttime pictures. And close-up flash pictures are even worse. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to change the batteries in it. I would not recommend this camera for someone looking to take quality photos.
Got the camera in a package deal. by hamiltona ,May 11 '06
Pros: Most pictures come out great. They print well. Light weight and easy to use. Cons: Battery life doesn't get even 100 images. I had to switch to rechargable batteries.
When I first got this camera, I thought it wouldn't perform properly. But to my suprise it did better beyond my expectations.
Wish I had waited for a better camera by ladyofdhouse ,May 15 '04
Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Won't take decent pictures, almost always overexposed, Has extremely long shutter lag.
I also bought the concord eye Q duo 2000, and have regretted the purchase ever since. I have lost many special occasion photos because of this camera. It is next to impossible to take photos outdoors. I always come back to download overexposed pictures. I have tried overcast, full sun, part shade, indoors, flash, no flash, whatever the situation I just cant seem to get a decent photo. I am definately going to upgrade to a much better quality camera. Wish I had read more reviews before I purchased the camera.
Pros: Small, cheap, expendable in hostile environments. Video capture remarkably easy to a PC. Cons: Impossible outdoors. Locks Windows 2000. Overexposure warning, counter cannot be seen.
I was looking for a cheap camera to take in the field with me, to photograph vehicles in various stages of disrepair.
The built-in menu seems huge. No use of LEDs to convey info. The viewfinder is lcd, and ABSOLUTELY invisible outdoors. Cant see the counter at all. I shot 12, got them back, plugged up, and it locked up Windows 2000. Rebooted, uploaded, and all were overexposed. No "do-overs" in my business. Its been a hassle from the start, with "dead batteries included." This is not a simple point-and-shoot design. Today, it goes back to TigerDirect. The DLINKII was a much better camera (at less than a megapixel) if only because it was hassle-free. But *this* is crap.

This is my first digital camera. I have done computer work for 14 years though. I have had numerous scanners and avoided a digital because I thought it would be to complicated and I could just scan photos. But this camera is easy to use. I like the size and overall I definitly think it is a good buy.

My first digital camera, bought in bundle with a Lexmark printer for 122.00. Takes great pictures and with some photo quality paper the printer does a nice job to.
All in all it is a very good camera. It is my third lower priced (between 59.00 & 157.00) digital camera, and it is better than the others I have had. Highly recommend.
I think I said most of it in the pros and cons. Overall, I am very pleased with this camera. It exceeded my expectations. But I really would like a tone or something to tell me when the shutter goes - because it does not seem to happen right when you push the button. I have an old DSC camera that is cheap and only takes 400x600 shots and it at least has a tone for the shutter. But I guess I'll get used to it. It is a minor con. The video-out is great! Image quality is really good for the price. I'll use this camera for a long time.
For a first time buyer this camera is what I was looking for. Great pictures, easy to use, and the price was right, $99.00. Learn on this camera before you make the jump to a more expensive and complicated digital camara.

I got this camera as a combo with a Lexmark printer for only $150.00. So for me it was a great price! It's a high quality camera that's as good as a Nikon or Canon but a lot less priced. So great quality for less money, which is a plus for a college student like me.

this is my first digital camera. i bought it for $99. i plan to only use it to send pics to family online, so, i will still use my print camera for anything i want to keep. the 2000 is very easy to use, software loaded on XP easily after i read the addendums to the users guide!! be sure to read those, because they do have info you will need for software installation and connecting camera to PC. my biggest complaint is the dim LCD, but the pictures i have made so far look good on the middle quality setting. i haven't mastered the settings, so i may be making some new user errors ( brightness, see cons). for a camera under 100 bucks, i would recommend the concord eyeQ 2000. it's a great little camera to use just for the fun of it, and to see if you are really interested in digital photography. i did HOURS of research, and all brands have their positive and negative comments. this seemed to have more positive and less negative reviews overall.
Just purchased this camera after reading the previous reviews. The LED screen on my Polaroid PDC 640 Plus "died" and was not worth fixing. The 4xzoom and the "video clip" are features that normally cost in the $250 range. Only uses 2 "AA" batteries so it's not costly to run. Auto shut off can be set to 15 seconds. Easily set up TV viewing and WebTv compatible. Paid $99 and feel like I stole it! Highly recomend.

Best camera for the money! This is the best digital camera I have seen for 300.00 or less and to be able to own it for less than 100.00 its the best deal in digital cameras. And the ease of use my 7 year old uses it daily.
Excellent choice for the price.... by sykcir_dt3000 ,Dec 31 '02
Excellent choice for the price. Compares to others at $200.00. This is my first Digital Camera and I love it.My friends have older cameras with lower megapixels that they paid over $300.00 for.
I am very pleased with this camera. It is a great value for the money, and perfect for a beginner or intermediate camera user. It's easy to set up and operate, and the picture quality is very good. I was hesitant to purchase because of the lesser known name brand and low price, but have seen other cameras that cost $150 to $300 with lower picture quality. I'm so glad I made this choice and would recommend it to anyone who can do without all the frills! Great Buy!

Great camera, would recommend to everyone! I've compared to friends' cameras and this one seems to compare well against others and for the lower price, it makes it much better overal. The software it comes with is also user friendly. It was easy to connect to the computer via a USB cable. Easy to Use menu in camera and it has a fair amount of built in memory. Easy to upgrade with a MMC/SD card that can be purchased at any electronics store for a reasonable price. Like I said at the start, I would recommend this to family, friends, anyone and everyone! Enjoy!
Extremly POOR picture quality.... by zyxwvu_dt3000 ,Dec 13 '02
Extremly POOR picture quality. Color is really bad. Yes, I did try all the settings. Also the LCD is very dim.
Compared to my HP-125 which is a 1.3MP the HP is sharper AND the color is correct.
Too bad it takes such crappy pictures cause I do really like the camera otherwise.

This is my first digital camera, and I think I did pretty good. A friend at work has a Sony Mavica, and I have used both. The only major difference I see is that the preview LCD is not as clear or as bright as the Mavica, and a slightly lower quality image. I only paid 99 dollars, and he paid 400 for his Mavica.
I also love the video out feature. You can show your pictures just by hooking it up to any RCA type video connector (VCR, TV). A portable slideshow....
