Pros: Tiny, Line-In Encoding, Excellent sound, Good volume, MP3/WMA/WMA9/OGG/WAV playback, Disply info, Rechargable battery, Built-In mic Cons: Confusing File System, Too small for some, So-so headphones
Coming fresh off the electronic bandwagon of MP3 players, I found myself in search of yet another MP3 player in the course of ONLY 2 years. My first player was a Rio Forge 256, which was found to be, without a doubt, a flop. If you’d like to hear more ...
Pros: Wonderful sound; gives new meaning to the word portable Cons: Does not come with a standard wall charger
While I am the happy owner of an Archos PMA400 meadia player, I needed a device small enough to wear on my arm while at the gym, and the Audio U2 1 GB Digital Music Player has proven to be the perfect fit. SIZE/AESTHETICS At a capacity of 1 ...
Pros: Tiny, great sound, awesome display. Cons: No m3u playlist support.
I bought the U2 to use at the gym to supplement my iPod, which I found to be cumbersome to carry with me when I ran and which often hindered me when using certain types of equipment. The U2 is solidly built and the black is very slick looking. It ...
Pros: Micro size, wonderfully easy to use, great menu system, versatility with many extras Cons: 1GB is just enough, silly start-up logo, can't play while plugged into USB
The iAudio does not have the splash of an iPod - but once you explain all the features to your iPoding friends and co-workers, they will wonder why they didn't buy it instead. I use the iAudio U2 everyday - and its portability and ease of transferring ...
Pros: Small; feature loaded; plays ogg; no DRM; good recording features and quality Cons: 1GB limit; buggy firmware
I should begin with the small disclaimer that this is the first digital audio player I have purchased, and so I don't have a lot to compare it to. That said, this little machine rocks. Firstly, the audio quality is good, and it has audio enhancement ...
Pros: Small, lightweight, FM tuner, line-in recording, lots of features/controls, upgradeable firmware. Cons: Memory and battery are not removable/upgradable, USB charging, battery life, buggy firmware, touchy joystick control.
I've reviewed this product previously on Amazon, but since they only allow one review per person I wanted to share a recent customer support experience I had. Cowon has been slammed for poor customer support, but my recent experience was stellar. I ...
Pros: Sound quality,
earphones,
display
ease of use
Cons: Battery life just adequate.
AC charger is optional
This is an excellent player, especially since now you can get it for right around a $100 for 1GB. That's a real bargain for a player that will deal with multiple formats, can be loaded like flash memory (UMS), has outstanding audio quality for it's ...
Pros: Small, light, good sound quality, good battery life Cons: Won't play when charging.
I bought this because I didn't need 20 gig of storage, wanted something small, and needed something that could record. The iCowon delivers.
I mainly use it to listen to podcasts. After download, I drag and drop files into the player -- very simple, you don't even have to use their software--and have at least 20 hours worth of programming. Then I listen to it as I go about chores, running, the gym, and dog park. When I've finished, I plug it in through the USB port, delete all the files and load it up again.
I see people lugging around mammoth iPods and wonder a) why they need that much music and b) why people spend so much. At $150, this baby's a bargain. It's small and light with good sound quality. I also use the recording feature to tape interviews, then transfer to my PC. The FM radio is decent, but I don't use it that much.
I got sick of the goofy dancing guy at startup, but deleted the file and now he's gone.
