Pros: Huge capacity, excellent sound, good software, solid construction Cons: Case sold separately. Occasional "crashes"
Dock is sometimes "flakey" .. medicore headphones. ***LARGE***

Pros: The incredible memory!! Over 4,000 songs can be stored. Sound quality is unbeatable. Cons: Much bigger than most other mp3 players... as big as a discman
I have had the Jukebox III since December of 2002 and I must say it started good and has become great. Almost all of this is due to improvements in the unit's firmware and in the music management software that comes with player. When I first got the pl ...
Pros: Neat when worked Cons: Creative's non-customer support. Doesn't work with Windows XP.
Bought this thing in December, and it worked okay. They advise downloading from their site onto the portable unit. What you end up with is lots of unrequested songs, especially classical, that you then may want to remove (time-consuming).
Pros: Creative Brand Name and Quality,
Sound Quality,
Firewire, USB, IR remote, Voice Recording, Duo-Dock Capability Cons: Size
I have owned this unit for over a year now and I still love it. It boasts a huge 40gb hard drive so u can virtually store your whole collection and have it at the ready. The sound Quality is Outstanding and the quality is superb, unlike cheap plastic units that rattle with a bit of abuse this Nomad remains solid and sure. I just recently bought the microphone/voice recorder/fm stereo attachment which opens more even more options and versatility for this unit that sets it apart from the rest. Additionally I also got a Cambridge Soundworks Duo-Dock so now I can carry a all in one portable jukebox that rivals most small mini systems. Excellent Sound from those Cambridge Speakers. Worth every penny and the options make this unit unique and a worthwhile investment for many many years to come.

Pros: Quality sound, easy to use and burn songs, huge storage. Cons: Initially had frequent re-sets, but after downloading new firmware, the problem went away
My first MP3, and I purchased it after reviewing alot of players. It has a lot of bells and whistles, and with the EAX technology, has outstanding audio quality. It is easy to use, and has great software, and recording manageability. Huge storage.
This thing is the greatest. When i bought this i thought the size would be a problem. No problem for me (I guess my pants just have big pockets LoL). This thing is a big improvement over the last one. 40GB! I have over 300 songs on there, that this is amazing. This is for any person who enjoys a nice song to listen to while they work or even a loud song for when you're frustrated. As i said before....40GB!
The Nomad Jukebox is great.... by alles_dt3000 ,Nov 29 '02
The Nomad Jukebox is great. Holds so man songs its not even funny. It's got more memory than my computer and looks great while doing it. Now, it is sort of bulky, but, waht can I say-with a beatuy like this, it belongs in a Bond movie. Defently shaken, not stirred. Also, check out the 20GB one, too!

I have a 15,000 track, 23GB library of MP3 files. I got this thing yesterday and everything seemed to be going ok. However, after 10,054 files, the player neglects to write anything further to its hard drive. The controlling program on the computer, PlayCenter 3, shows that it is writing to the player but nothing is actually being written. I now have about 16,322MB of music on the drive. There is 21,811MB of free space! But the player won't use it! I was hoping that Creative would have gotten the bugs out of their product by now. I have a 20GB USB model from a couple of years ago that had similar problems as well as crashing itself, the USB port, and PlayCenter 2. If you read glowing recommendations about this product, they just haven't accumulated enough files yet. Their problems await the growth of their library. Absolutely cannot recommend this product!!
I have the old 6 gig jukebox and for some time know I have had the new Jukebox 3. This thing is awsome I have experienced some of the problems with playceter and jukebox but most of the time it was something I did wrong. I completly know how to use Playcenter and Jukebox like a pro once you figure it out you will love this thing. Just remember just because someone doesn't operate and or understand a system doesn't mean you should believe their recommendation that a product is bad. Buy a Nomad Jukebox 3 it is the best out there I have done the research this thing is great and they have alot of cool accesseries. p.s. did you know you can get a Jukebox 3 in a 60 gig also!!
I have a Jukebox III with a 40 gig drive. It is currently about half filled with music files, I have 21 gigs of free space. However, I only have 3,100 tracks, or files, in the player. This means each file averages about 6 megabytes, which is about right at 128 kbs compression, which is the standard. To have what Keith has below, that is 15,000 files in 23 gigs, he either has very tiny music files, or extremely low quality compression. Using normal compression, that is, music files compressed at 128 kbs, you will not experience the problem Keith is having.
This is by far the best thing on the market. The 40GB hard drive holds a ton of songs. I have my entire CD collection (over 3000) on this thing and it's about 1/3 full. The sound quality would impress any audio freak and I can hook it up to my home stereo's, my radio at work and my truck stereo. I liked it so much I bought one for my company's phone system to play music on hold. Two words of advice, "buy one". You won't regret it.
I have over 7,000 songs at the present time stored in my jukebox. I use it constantly, and take it everywhere. Last week my husband and I fought over who would use it on the ski slopes (we took turns). I use it an average of 12 hors daily. The long lasting batteries really help. I find it very easy to use, and organize. Frequently someone will mention a song, and I say Would you like to hear that one right now? I LOVE this thing!!!!
