Pros: works like a thumb drive, built in voice recorder, FM radio & equalizer, great sound Cons: No OGG support, so so quality headphone, tiny display.
It's now 3 months since I had this. It was given to me as a gift. What's good about it? The entire unit is as big as a Zippo lighter. It separates into 2 parts, the battery pack which contains 1 AAA battery. I use 800ma Sanyo NIMH rechargeable ...
Pros: Small, good looking, sounds Good. No special software need to load with music. Cons: Supplied earbuds are uncomfortable. Volume need more steps.
Just bought this for my holiday vacation. Need a MP3 player that would double as a memory stick, and liked the idea of having an FM radio in the same package. After researching on the web (including epinions) I decided to check out the Muvo. Went to ...
Pros: Extermely easy, MP3 & WMA, backlit screen, FM , voice recorder, equalizer, 1 GB, value. Cons: US version is a red and black color. I have a solid black version.
The mp3 market has been dominated for quite sometime now with the big boy hold my entire music collection and then some- mp3 players. Apple and Creative started the high capacity mp3 players years ago, when they introduced the Nomad and ...
Pros: Keydrive design (no cables), compact size, LCD, delete function. Cons: Cannot browse through collection, weak volume output.
I've always wanted an MP3 player. But I never had a need to carry around my entire collection. I also had a CD player in my car that played CD-Rs and MP3s. But then I came across the Creative Muvo TX FM. I immediately liked it. One thing I liked ...
Pros: Super FM reception, great sound, superior battery life, easy to write to and read from Cons: Can't use playlists, inflexible in playback order, no protective cap when not using battery
Hawthorne was absolutely right in ""Rappacinni's Daughter" when he said that nothing can attain perfection and continue to exist. Apparently, there's always some small flaw that is necessary. The MuVO TX-FM comes darn close to being the perfect flash ...
GREAT product - buy this one! by mhhome ,Jan 11 '07
Pros: music/sound quality, data file storage, voice recorder, FM radio, small size Cons: Wish I could play FM radio when it is plugged into my pc
I recently bought this player - it is more versatile than many, having additional features of FM radio and voice recorder. It is also a good USB drive. Very small and portable, good sound quality. As a business person who travels a lot, it has 3 things I need on the road - music (for airplane rides!), data storage, and voice recording. PLUS the small size. Better than the iPod shuffle because it has a display. Although songs are indexed alphabetically it does have a shuffle play mode, which works well. The software (included) is very easy to use and practical. I am VERY pleased with this product!
Convenient, flexible, excellent design by dpvwia ,Jan 11 '06
Pros: Simple to use, LCD display, flexible for use with data, can sort music into folders. Cons: Does not charge through USB port and does not have connection for an external charger.
My wife and I own two MP3 players - an iPod Shuffle and a Creative MuVo TX FM, both 1-GB. We both think the MuVo is vastly superior due to the LCD display and the ability to use folders for organizing music. The only drawback is that the MuVo uses a AAA battery that cannot be charged while it's in the device (the Shuffle charges through the USB port, although the battery is not replaceable). It also requires a powered USB port. I don't use the radio or voice recorder much, but I'm surprised by the FM reception and the quality of the recorder. The MuVo is also easy to use to store non-music data files; I just created a separate folder for data. Regardless, it's just drop and drag for loading up the MuVo, or use the Creative software which isn't too shabby. See the CNET review. One problem with the SHuffle is that it requires the iTunes software to load and view your music, and if you try to just open it up as a USB memory key, the file names are coded.
10 times better than the shuffle, but with a trade off by thirdspartan ,Jun 29 '05
Pros: Small. Tough. Light. LCD Screen. Simple to use. Cons: Runs on a single AAA battery.
The Muvo TX is hands down much better than the iPod shuffle, mainly because it has a screen, but also because its very dense and doesn't shatter as easily. The headphones that come with it are comfy, and the sound is equal in quality to the shuffle. The only problem is that its battery powered, a single AAA battery. In this age of charging things simply by plugging them to your computers USB drive, the Muvo is rather archaic. Other than that, its a great piece of technology, and it comes with rather useful software also.
Pros: user-friendly, good sound, small, reasonably priced Cons: headphones won't fit into ears
I wanted an MP3 player that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. The MuVo is a great buy. I wanted something to take to the gym that was small and user-friendly and without alot of bells and whistles. This does the trick! I can't get anything on the radio but that's no fault of the player. Because of the location with all the lights, etc. I can't play any FM radio in the gym.
Pros: Small, light, radio Cons: Drains batteries way to fast, customer service
The unit is a good unit overall. I bought this so I could run and lift weights to enjoy music. Navigation around the unit can be confusing when changing from MP3 to the radio.
The unit drains batteries like they are going out of style. I had some .wma files and those drain the batteries even faster. I would not recommend using anything other than mp3 files.
It is small and very light. I would refrain from recommending just for the fact that it drains batteries so fast. I have now bought rechargeable batteries to help save the cost of buying batteries all the time.
The radio is nice but it does not pick up well at the gym I work out in (all metal building).
Creative Labs customer service does not exist. If you have to send the unit in for warranty work then it costs $45.00 and that is more than 1/2 the cost of the unit (512mb). In fact the customer service rep told me he would recommend just buying a new one because once they fix it for $45.00 then the warranty is no longer valid.
Pros: Small, good sound, easy to use Cons: very poor battery life.
I've been using this product in the gym for about an hour a day. I like it but the battery life is nowhere near advertised. They say this gets 12 hours or so per AAA battery. I get about 4, even using it conservatively, i.e., not using the backlight and not scrolling around much.
Pros: Size. And that is all. Cons: Small display, price, design
Bad design for so much money.
Mine last 2 days. After the button to switch songs stopped working.
First thing I notice was a weird tick sound while playing songs. Never could figure out what that was.
Not so great sound quality.
A very good Mp3 player but... by dnaveh ,Dec 31 '05
Pros: The MP3 player sound is lovely. As a memory stick it is very good. Cons: Radio-a medium receiving capabilities- and volume weak.Low sensitivity of the voice recorder.
I have the product for about one year.
The product is very good except for the listed Cons above and...
It can't work with computers that have lower system than windows 98 second edition.
Doesn't support Hebrew song titles.
it's headphones are vary simple and to replace them with other you need to buy special headphones with low impedance (with regular headphones you will not hear anything or you will hear vary weak).
Pros: Sound quality and ease of use. Cons: Wish it came with a neck cord as well.
This is a great little mp3 player. It has great sound and a lot of cool features. It's been very easy to use. I enjoy the small design and the nice handy clip that comes with it. It's perfect and out of the way when I'm riding my bike. The ease of connecting it to your USB on the computer is wonderful! Transferring files to it is extremely easy. This is my first mp3 player and I love it!
So nice, we own three and are buying a fourth by navydave01 ,Jul 20 '05
Pros: Great storage, great cost, small, FM Radio, voice recorder Cons: Alphabetic default, software took time to understand how to get in track order
With the upgraded driver, things are working great. Really good sound, good capacity, great price.
I was frustrated at first because it alphabetizes music. If you put on a sound track, it was scrambled. Once you setup the accompanying software, you can have the track number be part of the song title and then drop it into a folder.
Now it works great. It is like having a pack of CDs in my pocket. I rip full CDs under their title and just drag and drop each folder/CD onto my MuVo.
