Pros: fantastic for traveling and workouts Cons: earbuds slightly uncomfortable
I was hoping to find an MP3 for my morning walks. I was tired of having to decide between a diskman that skips every other step or a bulky walkman with a totally useless belt strap. This product is divine! The Nomad could not be named more suitably. ...

Pros: Light weight, easy to use, holds a lot for a non Hard drive player. Cons: carrying case is a bit risky.
This is a Great High Capacity Mp3 player & Flash drive. It is very small and very light weight. It holds roughly 60 songs and has the ability to transport 256 megs of data. It lists for $149 all over town but I found it on walmart.com for $97. I ...

Pros: Two different color battery cases included. Cable-less USB drive. 5 band parametric equalizer. Small. Cons: Jog dial is too easily activated.
Honestly, this is one of those gadgets that I consider a waste of money. Don't get me wrong, I like the MuVo NX and this is NOT an introduction to a bad review, but think about it, $179 for an mp3 player with only 256mb of memory is beyond what I ...

Small and Perfect for Workouts
by ekrl ,Nov 08 '04
Pros: Small, just the right amount of hard drive space,
AAA battery Cons: Bad earbud headphones
This is my fist MP3 player and it is perfect. I really like the fact that I can change the battery. (AAA). It is very easy to use. I also like the way that you just plug unit into the usb port right on the computer, no fire wires.
This is also perfect for my workouts.

Good for the price
by shariee23 ,Oct 27 '04
Pros: Size. Easier to use. No software needed. Uses Media Player. Cons: No playlist. Plays in ABC order by default. DUMB.
This is a very lightweight and small MP3 player- which is so important if you live at the gym like I do. I only payed 97 bucks at Wal Mart, which makes this value priced compared to other 256 models. The biggest drawback is the absence of a playlist. When you transfer the music it automatically plays in ABC. I think that is so lame. Who wants to hear their music like that? It's hard for me to bounce between Sade and 50 Cents. I like to program my music to my workouts. It has decent features, and is worth the money if you just want a small workout companion. The included ear buds are crap. Why did they make one ear cord so short? This seems like a silly design, but beyond that, i would say it's a pretty good buy. The best feature is it's size. I would get a USB ext cable if your port is in the back of your computer. That is a hassle beyond words to keep moving your computer. (Especially if your computer looks like mine in the back- a mess of wires, phone cords, etc).

Low cost, doubles as a usb-drive
by sshearman ,Sep 25 '04
Pros: Small, lotta memory, doubles as usb drive Cons: Included earbuds sound tinny, but workable
Got this for $59 with a rebate of $20 at Office Depot online, which is excellent for any player with 256Meg. Better than the others I've owned because of the size and the fact that you can use it easily as a USB thumbdrive--it's easily as small as many usb drives that I've seen. Included a pager-style clip for the belt that clips onto an armband for jogging.
Also, the included software had us easily ripping audio CDs to the PC or directly to the device. The SW will even attempt to autosize the upload in order to fit everything you request on the player.
Finally, Creative Labs is a big enough company now that the sw / firmware has been updated and is well supported online.

Unbelievable!!! Top-notch MP3 Player!
by calgaryrunner ,Jan 27 '04
Pros: Insanely Portable
Exceptional Sound Quality
Voice Recording
Holds up to 4 albums
Convinient Cons: No AAC support (keep emailing Creative, if there is enough demand they will update firmware)
As the proud owner of a Rio PMP300 that I lost and a Nomad MuVo 64MB player that still works I expected a lot from my 3rd MP3 player and the MuVo NX delivered. I loved my original MuVo but it didnt have enough memory, functions, or an LCD screen for my liking. When I upgraded to the MuVo NX I found that in the small hi-res LCD screen there were many functions including folder navigation, shuffle modes, and custom equalizer. I customized the equalizer and with my Sony streetstyle headphones, I get an amazing amount of bass and still can hear every little part of the song. You can voice record up to 16 hours and then drag the files on to your computer to archive them which I found very useful for school. Overall, this is one of the best MP3 players I have run across, it is very small, the size of a cigarette lighter, and its convinience is unmatched. Simple drag and drop interface, just like a floppy disk, you can take files that arent music also and transfer from computer to computer which I found very useful. Would highly recommend, exceptional piece of engineering.
