Pros: A fantastic accompaniment to fine cigars; highly-satisfying flavors. Cons: Those who don't smoke cigars may find this scotch overbearing on it own.
Once or twice a year, my uncle from the Netherlands comes stateside. We share good laughs, big hugs, fine cigars, and expensive scotch until all hours, but his stay never seems to last long enough. I make it a point to travel to the liquor store with ...
Pros: Deep, rich, well suited for those who prefer stronger, more robust scotches. Cons: Tailored to specific audience instead of scotch drinkers in general.
This is a wonderful single malt scotch, and one of my personal favorites. The nose and finish are quite similar to each other, both being deep and rich and robust. Both have notes of citrus, and other notes that one would almost think were ...
Pros: It's got what I'm looking for in a sherry finish. Cons: Cigar smokers don't deserve all the fun.
At first encounter one might find the idea of a "Cigar Malt" to be a hokey and contrived idea, with the entire marketing intent of cashing in on the cigar craze. This, however, would be a mistake akin to judging a book by it's cover.
Pros: Good aroma, fine color & great legs in the snifter. Cons: Taste ! way to sweet to match with a cigar
This single malt whisky was developed to drink with a cigar, the previous review was done with out the benefit of a cigar , it is a shame that happened, I have not tasted this whisky with out a cigar, In fact I have had it on 4 separate occasions & had a ...

Pros: You won't need a second mortgage to afford a bottle. Cons: Can be hard to find in some areas.
The Dalmore Cigar Malt is without question the most complementary spirit that I have ever enjoyed with fine tobacco. Unlike most Scotch, this has much less "smoke & peat" in it and more of a sweet orange fruitiness with a warm lingering finish which always complements but never competes with a good cigar. As I understand it, this is actually a vatting of 10-20 year old Dalmore whiskys with some sherry cask aging somewhere in the mix. At any rate, it is a truly exceptional malt that I'm happy to recommend to all.

Pros: You will know why the Scots call Whiskey the "Water of Life". Cons: None other than limited availability and Special Order status.
Even if you are not a cigar smoker, The Dalmore Cigar Malt is an experience in and of itself. A Highland Single Malt at heart, it's aging in Sherry oak casks creates a smokey, deep, rich single malt. It's taste lingers rather than explodes in your mouth. This is THE introductory scotch to all of you friends who can't believe you like this stuff.
If the know anything about scotch whiskey, they will be VERY impressed by this.
God, this is a tasty drink. Forget cigars, this is the most luscious single-malt of the very many I have tried. It actually is NOT heavily sherried, but has a fantastic blend of sherry, bourbon, and considerable vanilla/chocolate/dried-fruit tastes and aromas. I do not much care for the flavored scotches (port-finished etc.), finding them rather monochromatic, where the added taste (port, madeira, sherry, and whatnot) overly accents the drink. Plain 10yo Glenmorangie, e.g., is preferable in my view to its finished siblings. But this Dalmore is nothing like that, being completely integrated, complex, deep and three-dimensional.
Its cost around Boston is quite fair, too, esp compared with all those whose prices have risen toward $40 and more per btl.
