We purchased this unit about (18) months ago, and within about the first (4) months or so, the dual temperature settings started malfunctioning. They now both read around 70 degrees, which is totally useless. I tried to google trouble-shooting for the frig online, and found nothing, I called my Appliance Rescue guys, and they do not work on these smaller coolers. I then called the 1-800-263-2629 Danby Customer service number, and was put on perpetual hold (4) times, as nobody answered the phone. So, the fact that the frig doesn't function, coupled with the fact that company support is nonexistent makes this a little bit of a cluster you-know-what. I highly recommend any other brand than Danby if you wish to keep your wine cool.

Absolute garbage Danby should not be allowed to sell "wine Fridges" as their thermostats will freeze wine.We came home to a temperature of 37 and a frozen magnum of 1996 Chateau Pavie.So if you want to risk killing a six pack of beer go for it but wine should never be stored in any unit by this company. Horrible service via the Brick here in Canada I wouldn't wish these units on my worst enemy.

Freezes wine. Causes bottles to explode. Projectile corks and a diaster to clean. If you buy this you deserve to have wine all of your carpet.

I agree that this is one of the worst purchases I've ever made. I bought a house that had one built in and when it stopped working I couldn't get it fixed because I wasn't the original purchaser. Like an idiot, I went out to buy a replacement just like it because the size was perfect. It worked well for about 6 months. Now, each day, the thermostat picks a random number to display. Who knows what the actual temperature is? It's a shame because it really is a beautiful refrigerator with the chrome, and wooden shelves, and little blue light. But if you actually like wine and want something that will work better than your refrigerator or counter top would, please don't buy this

Warning, do not waste your money. It worked fine for 6 months, then the temperature on both compartments went up into the 60's. Called Danby for warranty service and 1) I had to answer the 20 questions trying to prove I was at fault 2) I was informed that they had no one in my area (Western Philadelphia Suburbs) that could provide warranty service. My option, find someone who would do service and pay for it or take it to one of the centers. I took it upon myself to call centers on their warranty list and either they did not work on wine coolers, or they did not call me back, this outside of a major east-coast city. Again, be warned.

I had a lovely surprise on Thanksgiving when I served white wine from the fridge that was 55 degrees, which is the same as my reds.  I looked at the thermostat and couldn't believe my eyes.  I checked the setting for the whites section and it was set at 42.  I called Danby and of course it is out of warranty (just 18 months).  They were unapologetic and gave me phone numbers to service centers in my area.  It's too expensive to work this cheaply!  Basically now it's just a red wine fridge instead of dual zone.  Who knows how long it will even stay at that!  Customer service sucks.
