Pros: Inexpensive initial investment, fast, good printouts for office use Cons: Ugly photos, mail-order inks, buggy bloatware drivers (can't share very well)
One of our departments has a Dell A940 AIO printer. I can only guess that AIO means "all-in-one", as this is a color scanner, printer, and copier. The USB is the only method of connection and it has no faxing capability. 1 The Dell A940 AIO is the ...

I must have been one of the unlucky Dell customers when it came to purchasing this A940 system with my Dell computer system. I have had nothing but problems with it from the start and have had absolutely no support from Dell, except until today. It ...
Pros: Great Quality Printing, The Price is Right, Easy to use for the entire Family Cons: Have to buy ink cartridges from Dell, Scanning function is so so
I bought a Dell a940 Printer along with a Dell Dimension Desktop Computer approximately a year ago. The Printer cost me 110 dollars in addition to what I paid for the Computer. My 110 dollars was well spent, as I have been very satisfied with this ...

My dad brought this printer a few months ago when Dell was having a special price on it. We had been looking for an all in one printer for a long time. My dad has always been a big fan of Dell products. He also gets a discount on them, so that is why he ...
Pros: good print quality 2400x1200. speedy for the price. Cons: DISCONTINUED! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, DO NOT BUY ONE!
I got this printer in a bundle with my new XPS laptop 5 1/2 months ago. It worked great for a couple months under VERY LIGHT use (less than 20 pages a month). However, it started feeding paper in diagonally, which I later discovered to be a VERY common ...
Pros: Matches you DELL computer, small footprint, VERY simple to use, Fairly Inexpensive. Dell Support Cons: No backlight for LCD, "DELL only" Ink available online only, kinda loud when printing.
I ordered my printer BEFORE reading the DELL forums and the reviews on Epinions.Com, and quite frankly was afraid I'd made a HUGE mistake.. I've used it alot this week, tried everything except the fax (Couldn't think of anything to fax!) Everything ...
Pros: Low cost, easy to use and setup, good for general use.
Cons: Vista issues, expensive ink costs $70 for one black and one color.
We have had this printer for almost five years now. We bought it for its ability to fax, print, and copy. It is a good machine, but it does have a few drawbacks. Let me start there since for general use of its functions it does everything fairly well. ...
Pros: Great print quality, great scanner results, driver software tells you when you need new ink. Cons: Can only buy ink from Dell. Universal refills are not compatible. Ink dries out.
Not to sound like I hate this printer, it's that I hate the ink cartridges. The Dell A940 All in One is an excellent printer and scanner. The print speed and quality is very good which makes sense considering that it is a Lexmark printer with the Dell ...
Pros: The printer / scanner is functional. Cons: Printer ink cost
The A940 printer works. But, it is a cheap business practice on the part of Dell to make someone have to buy their printer ink solely through Dell's website at a ridiculously high cost ($56 for two small black ink refills). If you're in the middle of a ...
Pros: easy set up, good enough for the average user, good price Cons: customer service, cartriges only ordered through dell and kind of expensive

I found this All-in-one printer to be of suitable for my needs. However, two months after purchasing the printer, while changing the printer cartridge, the clip broke that holds the cartridge in. Believing in Dell's commercials about their "award-winning" ...
Pros: The only positive I can find for any of the Dell printers is it's cheap. Cons: Poor paper feed / jams in humid conditions. Ink streaks badly with 1/4 cartridge left.
Dell printers in general are either produced by Lexmark in Kentucky or in China / Korea. They are all about being cheap and low cost. I do own the A940 because it was given to me. I would not have bought it knowing its problems. The problems I have had ...
Pros: Easy to use. Prints, Scans and copies fast. On screen ink indicator. Looks good too. Cons: Display is in black and is kind of hard to read sometimes. No big deal.
The reason I chose this printer is because I have a Dell computer although I did look at other brands similar to this and decided it was still a good deal. I like the fact that it scans, prints and copies.
I've had it about 5 months now and I love it. It has worked perfectly straight from the box. I use it mostly for scanning items for Ebay although I do print things out on a regular basis for my own use. I have used the copy feature a few times and it works great.
This printer is very easy to use and prints and scans quite fast. The quality of the scans and printed items are great. Another great feature is it shows on the screen how much ink you have left, black and color. If it was stolen or destroyed I would buy another one.
You have to buy replacement ink cartridges from Dell only so that is kind of limiting but they make it easy to do and with free shipping.
The only problem I have is it causes my cordless mouse to freeze every now and then.
