Pros: Size, battery life, works with windows, great storage capacity Cons: none, well not as sexy as a iPod.
I wanted an iPod. I bought an ipod. The ipod is great looking--much better looking than the DJ, however, the iPod does not work with the Windows OS--at least very well. I could literally never get the ipod to work with my XP Pro based laptop. The Dell ...

Pros: Price to gigabyte ratio ($185/15GB), player size, battery-life Cons: Headphones, Limited, Musicmatch (which I normally like)
In order to stave off loneliness on a month-long solo trip to Europe (my first), I decided that it would be a good idea to get myself an MP3 player so as to inject some "home-cooking" on those occasions where I felt homesick, lonely, or found myself on ...

Pros: Better sound than ipod, blue backlight, quality at low cost Cons: Heavier and bigger than ipod, scroll wheel not best design, musicmatch software could be better
I can only compare this with the ipod, which I purchased and promptly returned a few days later. I've come to trust Dell since I love my laptop which I bought a few years ago. This mp3 player is no exception. After having it for about a week, I'm ...

This is a must buy for anyone who thought about wasting their money on an ipod. I have used iPod and Dell and i now own a dell and the ipod can't compare. I downloaded this great software from the dell website called Dell DJ Explorer (can't use this ...

Pros: stores 7000 songs, has a recorder, saves costly cd player budgets Cons: bulky it is kind of heavy as to the Ipod which is half the weight.
You say No son you're not getting that 200 dollar music player what do you think we are made of money? That is the words out of every normal parents mouths when they're kids ask for the Dell Jukebox. But this is usually out of instinct. But over the time ...

Pros: Endless possiblities, Music Capacity is better than most competitors, Options, etc. Cons: Taking the time to load songs -My problem!
I purchased my 20 GB Dell DJ with little knowledge of these MP3 Juke Boxes at all. Good thing I made the right choice. I am an avid music lover and a party throwin chick to say the least. There are so many MP3 players out there that it is virtually ...

Pros: Let me think...hmm...none since it and it's three replacements from Dell never worked. Cons: Unbelievably bad customer service, poorly trained tech support, Lock ups and resets, junky accessories
The buying and trying to operate this thing has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a 'tech' company. Because of some never-identified problem the DJ would not be recognized by my computer (relatively new and running XP). I spend ...

best mp3 player on earth
by nike1053 ,Dec 22 '03
Pros: long battery life Cons: no serial for musicmatch- need to pay $20 if you want it to auto-tag music.
Well I am the proud owner of a Dell 15 gig mp3 player. Shipping was very fast, although the salesman was not very nice over the phone.
The sound is great! One complaint is that it does not have a bass booster in the equalizer options. I like the fact that the player is very light and is not bulky at all. It is good for everyday use,but make sure you get a case for it. The earbuds that come with the mp3 player have great sound quality. Although they do not come with any foam over them.
I recommend getting the Dell Mp3 Jukebox over all other mp3 players especially the ipod because it is windows friendly. It also has 16 hours of battery life and the ipod on has 8! The Dell Mp3 Jukebox is loaded with features that many other mp3 players don't have.

Ok MP3 player
by sfgfan10 ,Aug 21 '05
Pros: Buttons easy to use, has voice recorder, great battery life Cons: song organization awkward at best, can't transfer recorded sounds to computer.
Overall, just okay. I own one, but I wish that it could be better. First of all, although it has a voice recorder, the sounds you record can't be transferred to a computer, and the way that it organizes songs is awkward at best. However, the battery life is great, and the buttons are easy to use.

dell dj 15 GB
by hcholkamy ,Jan 21 '04
Pros: Slick, nice colors, great sound, easy to use, nice blue LCD Cons: Does not come with Remote, no case, comes with OK headphones.
Great MP3 player - I have loaded it all up already and listen to it continuously. Although a bit bulkier than I-pod, I do not regret buying it. Since it is a newer product, it is harder to find accessories for it. Otherwise it is great

Recommended for big music listeners
by eurofire ,Apr 21 '04
Pros: Great size, great value, easy to use, good sound quality, lots of features. Cons: It's a bit too big! It's about the size of a walkman.
Overall, I am pleased with the product.
The software comes with instructions, so it's not difficult to use. You can put any mp3 you own on it. It has the capacity to handle 1000's of mp3's so you never get bored of your music. The sound is pretty good too!
The size is a little chunky. Perhaps because I have a leather case (you can purchase it from Dell).
It has few technical problems. Sometimes the off button is a little stubborn. I have to pause it and then shut it off. I don't know why. It's almost like it doesn't like to be shut off in the middle of a song. It wants to be paused and then shut off. It has never crashed on me.

Above all Expectations
by kawarider ,Sep 20 '04
Pros: Price, ease of use, backlight looks cool at night. Cons: Musicmatch can be kind of a pain in the rear, some useless options
From the time I opened this as a christmas gift it exceeded all of my expectations. It was very easy to use and the battery usually lasts me about 16 hours. I got this with the car adaptor, belkin case, and casette adaptor. I really only use the belkin case and the rest of them I don't use at all. The dell even with the options was less than an iPod with basic options and i being as polish as I am I enjoyed this a lot. In five minutes I figured out how to work this on my own with out reading any of the instruction manuals. Musicmatch is kind of an annoyance but the player masks any annoyance that musicmatch brings. Although $200 seems like a lot of money it is all worth it.
