Pros: Very fast, reliable, good customer support, reasonable selection of components. Cons: Nothing significant found so far.

Pros: Speed, ease of use, ability to upgrade individual item/parts, surround sound speakers, customer service!! Cons: Size, Dig.camcorder to DVD burns in real-time, although I think all do.
I purchased this computer about 7 months ago for $1700.00 which I think was a great price. I also upgraded numerous options such as a flat panel monitor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB DDR SDRAM, Sound Blaster Audigy II card, a 5.1 surround sound speaker system, ...

Not resolving tech issues.

Dell PCs may not have the best customer support, but the reason for this might be because they do not need it that often. This Dell Desktop has performed well for several years, not having any serious problems to it. The addition of some RAM memory makes the speeds even better, allowing you to run several programs at one time. With a 3.0 Ghz processor, this desktop is great for a wide range of functions, from gaming to movie watching. The hard drive space allows you to store a good deal of information, music, movies, and pictures. An overall good buy.
Pros: good performance(when it works) Cons: absolutely the worst warranty, customer service and support that I've ever experienced
Owned this system for approx 16 months and the motherboard and hard drive went bad. Dell attempted to diagnose and only made my computer worse. They refused to help "restore" my computer to the condition it was before they worsened (i.e. ruined) it. Normally, you would expect any business or consumer to be responsible for the damage they caused, but apparently this doesn't apply to Dell. I will never never never buy another Dell.
Pros: Fast quiet system, great value, up to date & beyond, handles any game Cons: Non so far
I purchased my 8400 series with the a 2 year warranty. Received it a week ago, I'll tell you it's very fast had a Dell 4100 before paid alot more for it then was time to upgrade. My Specs is 3.2 gHz (800 mb FSB)pentium 4, 512 MB (400 mHz) RAM, 128 MB X300 SE video card, Sony CD-RW drive, 80gb sata hard disk.It came with integrated 5.1 channel sound witch I replaced with sound blaster live 5.1 dolby card that I have. Got a good deal on it thru Dell business, paid only $525, this is a brand new system with a 2 years warranty. The motherboard also has the ability to adopt PCIexpress...the port that will be the future of expandability.
Pros: The computer color matches my carpet. Cons: Customer service is the worst. Located in India and language barrier is unbelievable.
This is the worst computer I have ever had. It is less than 6 months old and it has crashed. Let me give you a warning before you contact Dell customer service. It is located in India and when you speak to a tech it is like talking to a 5 year old. I have had 3 different techs come out to fix my computer and a fourth one will be out tomorrow. The problem with the techs is they only replace the hardware and cannot wait until you load the operating system disks to see if your Dell will actually work. I think they know that the computer will not work and they try to get out of your house as soon as possible.
