I recently started a new job as a Senior Systems Analyst running the Microsoft Exchange 2003 installation for a mid-sized Mid-West financial company. Fortunately for me the new job did not entail moving; indeed the morning commute is actually ...
Pros: The model's appearance is ok Cons: Poorly designed keyboard, mouse loses control sometimes, long holds in customer service
I acquired my Dell Latitude D600 laptop about 9 months ago. This was the exact model recommended by Notre Dame law school for my incoming class, so I did not really shop around before purchasing this model. I am a vigorous computer user, using ...
Pros: Lightweight, good battery life... Cons: ...but case gets very hot. No marathon typing sessions.
On its march to desktop domination, Dell also managed a long period of time where the company's laptops were a favorite of IT managers throughout North America. The company managed small and medium businesses well, and executives and road warriors were ...
Pros: Lightweight, Fast, and relatively affordable Cons: They break if you run them over with a 5 ton truck...
I have been stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI for about a year and a half now, however 8 months of this time has been spent in sunny, fun-filled Afghanistan. Yes, I enjoy the heat, lack of moisture in the air, the land mines, and the people that would ...
Pros: Light, 5.3lbs, good connectivity Cons: No firewire... Can't think of anything else!
Well I received this laptop from my workplace and as the title says so far so good. Not really being a fan of Dell products (I'd rather have a Thinkpad), I must say this is a fairly good machine. It's definitly above par in some areas and the size is ...
Pros: easy to use, indicator lights at the bottom Cons: heavy, but that's unavoidable
The indicator at the bottom is an easy way to look and see how much power you have left. It also saved my butt once when I thought my Inspiron 600M laptop had a motherboard problem. It turned out that the battery was simply dying because I had had it for ...
Pros: Appearance Cons: Unreliable, customer service...basically, just all-around bad.
I purchased the Dell Latitude D600 computer as a requirement when I entered my freshman year of college, so I didn't have much choice as to what laptop I could get. Initially, it seemed find besides the fact that it scratches very easily. However, as ...
Pros: highly portable, very functional, quality display, fast, legacy ports Cons: pointer can be annoying, use a mouse;
hot in some use.
I have been using this for nearly 2 years with great success and only recently stumbled on these reviews. The reviews are right on the target, this is a highly portable and very functional unit with a quality display. Let me point out what the ...
Pros: Light, (under 5 pounds) Good screen, DVD and CDRW drive, make it a plus. Cons: None really, at least yet, Have had it for 5 months without an issue.
I got the opportunity to purchase A Dell D600 through my work, and it turned out to be a good buy. The Dell product line seems to be pretty reliable, we have well over fifty Dell desktops and laptops, and the failure rate is surprisingly low. Like ...
Pros: Legacy ports. Nice Display. Everything you need in a notebook computer. Cons: Price is higher than other systems.
I've had this computer for two years now, and it still works fine. The only issue I had was an incorrectly installed display driver when the laptop was delivered to me. I spent some time on the phone with tech support, and they determined that it must ...
Not as bad as I thought...in fact it's awesome!! by avjunky ,Jan 30 '07
Pros: Thin, Light, Great Display, Fast, Great experience with support. Cons: None yet!
I thought that based on some of the reviews that I've read that I might have problems with this laptop. I'm happy to say that I haven't had any problems and I love it. If someone says that this is too big and bulky, they need to start working out. It's sooo thin and light, it's great. It's actually slightly smaller than the Thinkpad T4X series laptops. I also phoned support to ask for another recovery CD and they sent it right away. They even phoned me to follow up that I received it. I haven't had that kinda support for anything ever!! Nothing but Kudos for this laptop.
Pros: Sleek design, inexpensive, good color. Easy to use. Cons: Maybe they could make a smaller version still
I have had this laptop for little over 6 months now and very satisfied. I only was issued Dell laptops through work and Ive subsequently left that company and I thought Id buy my own Dell. I am pretty rough, and travel quite a bit overseas. After going through 4 Dell Laptops over 5 years, I thought Id stick to what I know. OK Customer Service, good product, configuration was easy enough and extremely well priced for a new laptop. This product in particular is great because it has Core Duo 2 technology, or at least mine does. The weight is excellent, the screen is also a little stronger than my previous Dell computers. I like the color, I like the sleek side profile view. I think overall this is a good product for the price. The system seems to work well with operating systems fine, there are no unusual restarts, frozen screens etc., yet at least.
Pros: Great display, fast, reliable
Cons: Yes mouse does get erratic. Gets hot
A good laptop with a few minor problems, but overall very reliable. Does heat up a little bit hot when used for a long time. Blue screen appears frequently, but this is most likely due to hardware compatibility problems. Dell support is not the best-long wait on the phone, and the right hand doe not know what the left hand is doing. If you are covered by warranty that is great, but be prepared for them to suggest you "abused" your computer before they will repair it.
Pros: Light weight, compact, thin size. Cons: Short battery life.
Excellent speed and memory. this 40GB hard drive is more than adequate most business and personal applications. My PC is equipped with a DVD/ROM. I also have the docking station and 17 inch flat screen monitor. Combined with the laptop, the docking station makes a great desktop addition. The drawback to this PC is the lack of an adequate battery life. Simply adding a second battery took care of this problem. I would recommend this PC to anyone beyond the novice laptopper.
Excellent Notebook for the Average Person by robinfstewart ,Jan 06 '07
Pros: Perfect for my use. Cons: None
I have this Dell which I purchased for myself to do some work related word processing, internet use, pictures etc. It has been wonderful. The notebook is compact, I can take it anywhere when I travel, it wears well and is easily used. I have had no trouble with Dell company although I have not had to call service for any reason.
