Pros: User friendly; bright display; remote control Cons: need to purchase additional adapter; RCA to mini adapter cord very short; about 18".
*******Update It's been a few years now and this unit still kicks! Rock On! I have been pondering the purchase of a satellite radio for almost a year now (styling was questionable for me), but once I saw the new Delphi XM SKYFi2, I was hooked. I ...
Pros: Built-in FM transmitter, lots of options for hook-up, Well thought out design. Excellent satellite reception. Cons: Transmitter sound quality not so good, inadequate transmission freq selection, XM service is disappointing.
I was pretty excited about getting satellite radio and getting away from commercials. I bought this unit used on ebay and saved over $100. I'm glad I did because now I'm going to sell it (because of the service not the receiver). First the ...
Pros: Versatility, built-in FM modulator, TIVO-like pause and rewind functions, compatible with earlier SkyFi accessories. Cons: Minimal. Mostly just small areas for improvement.
Having owned both the predecessor SkiFi and this newer SkyFi2, I can say they are both reliable workhorse radios. The SkyFi2 adds some significant features over the original. Best is the built-in FM modulator, making it a cinch to install in a car ...
Pros: Great little radio and well worth the price! I would highly recommend this radio! Cons: Black & white screen; difficult to see even with the larger font option.
I bought the Delphi SkyFi2 back in February, 05. It was very easy to set up and we have enjoyed it ever since. We even took it up to our summer home a couple of weeks ago and it worked great there, too. Our summer home is in a very rural setting and FM ...
Pros: Many great channels to chose from, live radio pause, memory, favorite band prompt. Cons: Antenna very touchy. Remote not very effective. Unit difficult to get out of boombox cradle.
I live in an area completely devoid of decent FM radio stations. This was a godsend for me and my eclectic taste in music. So many channels to choose from, but like satellite tv you will eventually find your favorites. I got the XMSkyFi2 with the ...
Pros: XM service rocks Cons: Second generation radios unreliable.
Owned the original SkyFi receiver for 3 years, then it quit powering up in May, 2006. Since then, we are on our 5th SkyFi2 receiver, having had problems with ALL of them. We love the XM service, but these second generation radios seem to have major issues. I'm going to contact Delphi tomorrow and see if they can help us.
Pros: Fits nicely into my truck. Cons: Doesn't fit as well in my car.
I don't use the record feature, but I listen most everything, from talk to music. It is not as commercial free as they would like you to believe, but it is still way less than conventional radio. And NO static. I switch it back and forth between my SUV and car. Very easy to use and set up.
I bought this at Best Buy in July.
