Pros: Great Budget Machine, very cheap Cons: Needs a better graphics card if you plan to play 3D games, no monitor included.
I recently came face to face with a dilema that many owners of aging PCs face today. Should I upgrade my current PC or take the plunge of buying a new one? While my old PC was outdated, I wanted to make sure it was truly obsolete before I decided to ...

Good price and good machine
by Mommy4life ,Dec 02 '03
Pros: good price. Cons: needed a new graphic card
My teenage son wanted a new computer last Christmas, so my husband and I started looking and could not believe the price range on some of the machines, So we started looking at a brand he had not heard of called e-machines, searching around the net we found good and bad things about the computer but felt more good things,so we decided on that brand of computer for him. He wanted certain things since he is a gamer. So on Black Friday last year circuit city had an e-machine on sale so we buy it,it had all he needed, enough memory (at that time) 80gig hard drive DVD rom and cd burner all a teenage boy needed. He has been very happy with it,since last year we have upgraded more memory and new graphic card, but over all we are very happy. Since last year we have brought two more e-machines and really like the machine very much.
The price is right...........

Very Pleased with price, performance and the ease of upgrading.
by brucejones ,Apr 25 '04
Pros: Price, performance, and ease of upgrading make this a computer a winner. Cons: Doesn't have as many bells and whistles as an HP.
I looked around for a new computer when it became obvious that my HP was out-dated. I didn't like the price to upgrade the HP so I passed it on to my young son.
I purchased the e-Machine and it ran great, but as I added more programs and more photographs it began to slow down a bit. So, I tripled the memory and upgraded the video card and boom! It was running so fast I had to add another fan. I like e machines and have gotten good support from the company. The beauty of the e-machine is that they are constructed so can upgrade your computer easily.
This is a great computer for the money and it's one that can grow with you.
