Pros: Excellent Highlight Handling, Good Details in Shadow, Easy To Use, Good All-Around Digital Camera, Price Cons: 6-megapixel resolution is interpolated
With 6.2 megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom, and plenty of features, the Fuji Finepix F700 is an easy to use and high quality digital camera for users who are looking for high resolutions and for a digital camera able to capture more subtle ...
Pros: Overall picture detail is great. Camera is small, light & feels durable. Cons: Sharpness could be improved.
I have always liked Fuji digital cameras (previously owned the Finepix 1300 & 2300). The colors looked more realistic onced printed out (on the Canon S820 or Epson printers). That is still true with the F700. Even when compared with the prints from ...
Pros: Excellent in low light. Awesome macro mode. LONG battery life. Powerful zoom for a 3x. Cons: LASTED only 14MONTHS. Powerful default flash. Poor action shots. Uses Xd card.
What an awesome little but mighty camera. What a short life span! Lasted 14mos! Frustrating especially when one must invest a pretty penny into an xD card to replace the 16MB card that was included with this high MP camera. I tested the camera in our ...
Pros: Very fast, manual controls, very good movie mode, well built, nice size Cons: R sensor not used, no data on preview, only one JPEG compression
First of the F700 has a revolutionary CCD it has two sensors next to each other, the S (sensitive) and R (range) sensor. The S is like a normal sensor and the R is less sensitive and extends the ability to capture dark and light of photos by 400%. ...
Pros: Fast startup/shutter response; better video than most; improved controls/menu; LCD; size; dock Cons: Image quality - overprocessed and too compressed, also green cast to images; mode dial cheap
I've owned a Fuji 6800, and an F601, so I thought that the F700 would be a natural upgrade to these very good Fuji cameras. I was excited by the specifications of the F700: the usual superCCD resolution, 30 fps VGA video, full manual controls. And in ...
Pros: Awesome camera! And the price just keeps coming down! Cons: Be sure to get a larger memory stick when you get this camera.
I purchased my Fuji FinePix F700 in March of 2004. I did a lot of research before buying online. I came to epinions and took the best buy and I have been in heaven ever since. In the 9 months I have had this camera I have saved over 2,000 pictures. ...
Pros: Small size, picture mP size, movie mode, intuitive menu,xD-Picture card, price, manual settings, optical zoom. Cons: comes with only 16 Mb xD card
I recently purchased the f700 from fuji camera. I have been using a Canon G2 for about a year, it's a nice camera, but bulky, so I never bring it with when I want to get spontaneous pictures (i.e. out with friends, weekend trip, vacations,etc...). The ...
Pros: great quality in the picture Cons: not worth the price, not worth the hassle
Bought this camera in October of 2004, in March of 2005 the lens went bad (all by itself, mind you) and I sent it to a photo shop that was contracted with Fuji. April I heard nothing so I phoned the shop. They could only tell me that the piece my ...
Pros: The CCD is wonderful and the pictures were crisp Cons: Too fragile to hold up in regular everyday wear
This camera took wonderful pictures. However, I had the camera 6 months before I used it, and 6 months after that the LCD screen fried. Fuji was so sorry, but after all it was after my warranty period. I spoke with someone else at the company and they replaced it with a lower grade, less expensive camera. I was very disappointed to receive a lesser camera, but at least they did replace with something.
Pros: Small and compact Cons: doesn't have consistency
The quality in the pictures doesn't seem to be there. Sometimes they are very bright, and if you retake the picture you get a normal looking one. Even with the red eye on...still get red eyes?!? I much preferred the Fuji 4 mega pixel camera I had before.
Pros: Very easy to use, uses standard batteries Cons: Minimal zoom, only ok focus, poor night time pictures
This camera is a nice upgrade camera for an amatuer photographer. It takes very nice pictures during daylight, and even inside, though night pictures are often dark. It is a very affordable camera, though no where near a professional level. I've used it several times to take scenic pictures, and many of them are crystal clear looking more like a painting than a photograph, in a good way.
The Fuji FinePix F700 is a great camera for a great bargain by mistyblue1 ,Jan 11 '05
Pros: The size and weight of the camera is optimal and the picture quality is excellent. Cons: The camera doesn't come with a case and software for viewing photos has sporadic errors.
The Fuji FinePix F700 Digital Camera is my first digital camera. I decided on the FinePix F700 after scouring the Internet and electronics stores for a camera, but also a bargain.
The Fuji FinePix F700 is a very easy to use camera (on auto of course) and for users with greater knowledge pretty easy too. However, in order to use some of the features (as a novice) you should read the user's manual. The camera is compact, captures very vivid images, and seems to be very sturdy (I've dropped it a couple of times). The camera also takes video and playback is very simple.
Although there are many great things about the Fuji Finepix F700 there are also a few negatives. For example, the camera does not come with a case (so if you don't buy one, the outside may be scratched easily) and the software that you must use to view the photos sometimes does not work properly (which leads to several errors when downloading the photos from the camera to your computer).
Pros: beautiful pictures, easy to use. Cons: dies w/o warning..too costly to repair...
I purchased this camera two years ago and absolutely loved it. I took it everywhere, on hiking trips, mountain bike rides, and two weeks in Europe. Without any warning, I noticed a blurry picture. I played around with it but ended up sending off to be repaired. The bad news was it would cost $200 to repair.
Had I read the reviews, I would have discovered this camera has no staying power. Some cameras last years but not this one so stay away from it. Bottom line is this camera does not have staying power and when it dies, it costs too much to fix.
Pros: Took nice pictures, easy to use. Cons: Is toast after only 18 months.
My husband and I read several reviews and opinions before buying our first digital camera when our daughter was born. We thought this looked like a great choice - and it was - while it lasted... We found it online for $300. We liked the pictures it took - while it lasted... One day I turned it on and the screen was just completely fuzzy and out of focus with lines running through it - I can only imagine it's the same part that other reviewers have stated takes $300 to fix. Unfortunately, there is only a 1 year warranty. We have only had this camera for 18 months...my opinion is that if you pay $300 for something, it should last longer!
SHORT-LIVED Camera --- Buy at your own risk by niticool ,May 05 '05
Pros: high quality movie mode. Generous 30 frames per second with 480 x 640 resolution. Cons: Only last for one year. True resolution is only three MP, IMHO.
If you expect a life expectancy of your digital camera to be 1 year, this F700 is perfect for you. I bought it in March 2004 and it broke in April 2005; only 1 month after the warranty ended. I noticed another person also had the same problem with the CCD after 13 months or so. I almost fainted when a camera repair guy told me the CCD went bad.
What I like about this camera is the movie mode. Not many cameras offer 30 fps with 640x480. That 6 MP is not really true to its flesh; it's effective. No wonder it was not that expensive when I bought it. I got fooled once and hopefully, others won't be fooled like me.
DO NOT purchase this camera by harry0101 ,Mar 06 '06
Pros: NON Cons: NON
I have had major problems with this camera only 3 months after purchasing it!
the pictures come out pink and mauve with white lines running through, in fact you are unable to see the picture at all ,apparently their is some problem with the chip, Fuji however will not accept their is a major problem with the F700 camera! and the warranty is not worth the paper it's written on "DO NOT PURCHASE"
This is a Great Digital Camera! Easy to handle and store. by sheilaleslie ,Jan 31 '05
Pros: The light weight and size is a plus for me. Cons: Very expensive. But I guess worth it.
I have enjoyed using this camera and very satisfied with its ease of use and fine pictures. I use this one in my real estate business and am not disappointed with its performance. The short video capability is great. I am amayzed of the amount of data and quality of this camera. I will never use film again.
Great inexpensive large mp camera!!! by jepix ,Mar 21 '07

Great digital Camera for 1st time buyers by bcausey ,Dec 07 '04
Pros: Good clarity, easy to use, easy to download to computer, easy to charge. Wonderful pictures. Cons: It has a 1-2 second delay while taking picture.
I recently purchased my first digital Camera " Fuji FinePix F700 Digital Camera from QVC. I was kind of worried at first about buying it because I did not know much about digital cameras. Since the moment of using my camera, I have not had any regrets. This camera takes beautiful pictures. I have not had a chance to print the pictures taken by this camera. It does look good on my computer. I used to use a 35mm and then after having the pictures developed I would come home and scan the ones I liked best and use those as a desktop picture. The pictures were alright, but the clarity was not good from the 35mm. Since using this F700 the pictures are so easy to download into the computer. Saving them as a desktop is fabulous. It is picture perfect. I does not looked all stretched out or blurry it looks just like it did when you took the picture. The X-card may be expensive to buy. However, with not having to pay for developing or buying film its worth the price.
The Fuji F-700 An Unusual but Excellent Camera by softlyspoken44 ,Aug 19 '04
Pros: Excellent digital photos Cons: it uses the XD chip
The thrust of the Fuji F-700 was quite misunderstood by a lot of digital camera users. It was to be a digital camera improvement because it captured all of the many mid tone elements that are often missed in a conventional digital photo. It takes mostly great digital photos, and is especially adept at macro or close-up digital photos. I use it regularly for items to be sold on E-Bay.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Fuji F-700 digital camera and the digital photos that it produces. It takes its best digital photos when out of direct sunlight because it records the mid tones the very best. the more you understand the Fuji F-700, the better your digital photos will be
It was Great While it Lasted by rcr888rsi ,Jul 30 '05
Pros: Takes fantastic pictures and has so many features Cons: It breaks VERY quickly.
Oh I loved this camera. I was luckier than 2 of the review writers. Mine lasted 18 months. I wish they at least could break at 11 months so you can be covered by the warranty. But, since I can't afford to fix it or buy an equivalently versatile camera, I am doing something crazy. I am buying another one exactly like it at close out $200 pricetag. This is cheaper than the repair costs, and I can't find another camera with all those features I have come to love. It takes great pictures and the video mode is really great.
I love the small battery -- most of the new ones I looked at use AA batteries which add bulk and weight to the camera.
So Very Happy With This Camera by pamiela ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: Size, picture quality, large LCD screen, fast start up Cons: Having a hard time thinking of any. I love this camera.
My previous digital camera was also a Fuji FinePix 2600 so when it was time to upgrade (and anyone who likes cameras is always looking to upgrade) I was first drawn right back to Fuji.
After reading the few reviews on this site about this camera, at first I was nervous about purchasing. So glad I went ahead and bought this camera.
Had it for just 3 weeks now but it has not disappointed. The picture quality is awesome. The battery lasted for an entire week's trip in the Caribbean (I had purchased a back up just in case). Really fast recycle time between shots. Love the small size.
Had fun with the movie feature (not being a camcorder owner this was new to me). The sound quality amazed me. As well as the picture quality.
I had my past Fuji for over 2 years before moving on to more megapixels. Wish I hadn't waited so long.
Great Camera for a First Time Digital Camera Buyer! by dreamsaj ,Dec 28 '03
Pros: User Friendly/Easy to download and file the photos.
Battery charger comes with the camera. Cons: Only comes with a 16MB card therefore you have to download alot.
I have found the F700 to be a user friendly camera for those of us that have never operated one. The batteries are rechargeable instead of always having to buy those double A batteries. I it last a long time before recharging in needed. The videos are great and even have sound. The software it comes with is so easy to use and it is the fast to download your pictures for you to e-mail them. I just love it and I even got the handy leather/poly case that is made for the F700!
Fuji Finepix F700 Digital Camera. by davemanu ,Apr 18 '04
Pros: BUILD QUALITY, EASE OF USE, PHOTO QUALITY, SIZE, Cons: NO CASE SUPPLIED, ONLY 16MB MEMORY CARD SUPPLIED.
WHAT A GREAT CAMERA, I BOUGHT IT FROM AMAZON LAST WEEK AS A REPLACEMENT FOR MY PREVIOUS 3.1 MEGA FUJI, AND WOW WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A QUALITY CAMERA THAT YOU JUST SET TO AUTO AND SHOOT GREAT PICTURES. SOME WOULD SAY £254.99 IS A HIGH PRICE TO PAY FOR A POINT AND SHOOT BUT BELIEVE ME THE RESULTS JUSTIFY EVERY PENNY. I HAVE NOT YET AND PROBABLY WILL NOT READ THE MANUAL AS THE PICTURES THAT I HAVE TAKEN THIS WEEK AND PRINTED DIRECT FROM MEMORY CARD ON AN EPSON PRINTER ARE STUNNING. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED!
Pros: Super fast shutter lag, lightweight, easy-to-use, great photo quality pictures Cons: Tripod holder is off center.
I couldn't be happier with this camera. It's extremely easy to use and the picture quality comes out great. The shutter lag is extremely fast, which I think is important when your trying to capture the moment and not create it.Its a great point and click camera which is what I was looking for. I bought the Sony P-10 initially, but ended up returning it due to the extremely slow shutter lag so I was hesitant before buying another digital camera.
The other great thing about this camera is it is really light. Also, it comes with a cradle charger which uploads new pictures right to your p.c. which is convenient
Pros: compact, great quality photo/movie/cheap (now)/easy to use/come with great accessories (cradle)/decent LCD size/fast upload Cons: internally broke with undetermined cause :( is it too fragile inside?
I bought this camera on 9/6/2003 at Best Buy (in store). It was one of the BEST (high resolution) cameras they've got at that time. The price was around $700.
Nice design, easy to use, great quality photos & video, movie mode let you take up to the end of memory card (not limited to 3 minutes like most Canon)
I love this camera to death but unfortunately it only last one year. 9/4/2004 around 10 PM, I picked it up from the base and the LCD went crazy. Turning in on and off, leaving it a lone for a few days won't work. It won't take any photos and won't connect to PC now :~ I'm clueless... Maybe it's just my LUCK!
I sworn to myself, to get another Fuji Film camera once this one dies but didn't expect it to die this quickly. Yesterday, I bought Canon Power Shot S410.
a ONE YEAR DISPOSABLE Camera by maidmarge ,Nov 08 '04
Pros: Film Speed selector/Battery life long on single charge/ Great Photo quality. Cons: The CCD Sensor went out 1 month after the warranty was up.
However much I loved this camera initially, I WOULD NOT recommend buying it. This was a fabulous camera and I raved to everyone about so many of it's features. I especially liked having the ability to use the film speed button to take photos in a dark auditorium at school events. It was portable, and efficient and took great quality photos.
HOWEVER...one month out of warranty and I pulled it off the cradle to use and the display screen was a total blur. Totally upset, I took it to the FUJI repair center here in Bangkok Thailand and they said the CCD Sensor was bad and it would cost me 300.00 Dollars to fix...I paid 500.00 dollars for this camera; I certainly don't want to spend more $$$ to fix it. Is this a defective part? I don't know. I am very disappointed as this is our second FUJI camera that has died in under 15 months. I won't buy FUJI again.
Pros: Fast autofocus and flash. Acts like a normal camera which is really, really nice. Cons: Very disappointing and the selling point of 6.1 meg is a flat out lie.
I have the benefit of having an Oylmpus with 3.2 meg and the Fuji 700 6.1 meg - Fuji definitely pulled off a scam on this one. They take identical pictures at any mag
