Pros: An absolutely outstanding vacuum and well worth every penny AND a 5 year warranty Cons: None
I've researched vacuum cleaners for about a year. I decided that I was NOT going to buy a new vacuum without testing it first, so I went to Sears, and I was welcomed to test out the vacuums which were on the top of my list. It was a toss up between ...

Pros: Cleans better than any other vacuum. Great attachments. Easy to use. No filters or bags. Cons: Expensive, but worth it.
If you can pay it, just go ahead and pay it. You will get your money's worth. We just purchased a Hoover Twin Chamber, vacuumed the house a couple of times, and felt like it wasn't even picking up all of the deodorizer dust we sprinkled on. So, we ...

Pros: Gets the schmutz that other vacuums leave behind. Cons: Can't clean right up to the baseboard with rotating brush.
Dyson DC-14 Vacuum Cleaner My wife and I have four cats, a Labrador Retriever, and virulent allergies. Out of frustration with our sniffling constantly, I decided to purchase a high suction vacuum cleaner in the hope that it would rid our wall-to-wall ...

Pros: fantastic suction, no bags to buy, easy to maneuver, no bags, looks cool, no bags Cons: hose and attachments could be better, expensive, durability??
I'll never forget when my close friends had their first child and like clockwork, the mom said, "Now we're gonna buy a Volvo!" Had a kid, had to have that safe, safe car. I thought, "How ridiculous!" (of course, I was childless at the time). Well, ...

Pros: good workhorse, long wand reach, long cord Cons: not great for large material, heavy, bulky
I bought this vacuum because I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 kids, a woodstove, and a dirty husband. I guess that was a bit much to expect from ONE vacuum, no matter how strikingly yellow. I was expecting my carpet to be empty and like new, but ...

Pros: Its constant suction Cons: The mini turbine brush stops spinning on soft surfaces if light pressure is applied.
With our old vacuum on its last legs it was time to start looking for a replacement. Having a couple of cats and my wife and I both having dust allergies we wanted something with a HEPA filter and good suction. After reading many different reviews, ...

Pros: nothing I can see relative to competing products Cons: flawed design, limited suction of sand-like particles, indifferent customer service
I have three major issues with Dyson DC14 All Floors Vacuum cleaner. First, it does not seem to do a good job picking up sand and sand-like particles from bare floors. (I suspect it does even worse on carpets.)--I was surprised to see that my Dyson had ...

Pros: never loses suction, easy to empty, cleans well, no belts or filters to buy Cons: price, have to hold machine down with foot and pull back to recline machine
I am a vacuum/steam cleaner freak. One night these Tri Star guys came to my house and showed me how much dirt was in my home and how I wasn't getting it out with my Hoover Windtunnel. I was totally feaked out by what they pulled out of my carpet, ...

Pros: Cannister easy to empty. Relatively quiet. Good brush action with slip for tall knap, fringe. Cons: Can't get under furniture edges - head too big.Handle hose not easy to use.
I had a Hoover V2 for 5 years which was a terrific sweeper but the Dyson does a better job overall with less noise. The head is big and prevents getting under cabinets and furniture edges to catch dirt/crumbs without using the hose assembly. ...

Pros: sucking ability, easy to maintain, clean, user friendly Cons: The inside gets dusty
I love my Dyson vacuum cleaner! I highly recommend it. It sucks up everything and is easy to maintain! I had a cheap one before I bought this one and when I brought it home and used the Dyson for the first time, it sucked up soo much ...

Pros: Great on bare floors! Still sucking strong after 6 months. Cons: Attachment handle is cumbersome. Does not push easily over plush carpets.
I have had my dyson for 6 months and it still sucks as well as day 1! I love it for my bare floors. I have never used another vacuum that does bare floors so well. It gets right up to the corners and edges perfectly and actually pulls the dirt towards ...

Pros: If Honda made a vacuum this would be it. Quality is seen throughout Cons: None
I am a typical guy...to translate I would rather work on a motorcycle than open up a vacuum, much less use the thing... Guys, you will be amazed by the engineering and feel of this vacuum. My wife asked me if I was going to sleep with it the first ...

Pros: The wand is great for ceilings and light fixtures. Moves easily Cons: Agitator doesn't work as hard as I would like. Very expensive.
I just bought my DC14 Animal today and I am moderately satisfied with it. It's a good vacuum but... the mini turbine head is basically useless and it is awkward to do the steps with the wand. You can take the wand completely out and just use the hose ...

Pros: Amazing sucking power, flexible extensions, cleaning flight of stairs without caring the DC14. Cons: So no real con at this time.
My girlfriend and I have been talking about replacing my old vacuum for a year or so now. Or friend loaned us her Dyson one weekend and we got as emotionally attached as you can to a vacuum cleaner. The issue, the price. Not everything expensive has ...

Pros: Good suction. Five year warranty. Cons: Does not fit under furniture and cabinets.
If you are accustomed to a vacuum that will slide under the standard toe-kick of kitchen and bathroom cabinets you should be aware of this design flaw in the Dyson. My old vac, and every other vac I've used, would clean under the toe-kick right up to ...
