Pros: Good sound, deep bass Cons: Overloads too easy
I got this amp for free off a friend- I'm only using it to run my 4500 series 12" MTX JACK HAMMER. My head unit volume goes to 32, but if i turn past 22, the amp simply overloads and shuts off.

Excellent

Pros: Clean, clean, clean Cons: 5th channel is only 4 ohm stable, nothing below. Sub control won't work perfectly.
The crossover is incredible--It works, it's not just there for show like on many other amps. This thing makes even the lousiest speakers sound excellent. I hooked it up with powerbase speakers, which are generic, and sound crappy when played straight to the radio, but with this amp, they sounded crisp and clean. I couldn't believe it. The fifth channel is good too if you're only hooking up one sub.

Did not perform for the size..

Pros: Was able to run my stereo off of all 5 channels. Cons: It was big for nothing and did not work well under load.
I hooked this Amp up in my 2001 Honda civic and was very dissatisfied with it. I hooked up to one 12" Phoenix Gold Octane Dual Voice Coil (@4oms) and to 4 speakers (Alpine) 2 in the front and 2 in the rear and it only sounded good a low volume and as soon as the amp was put under load it sounded horrible and cut out very fast.
I bought this amp because Eclipse was always a very sought after product and considered very high quality. After purchasing and trying it out I was glad I did not get rid of my Alpine Amps.
