Pros: Affordable, supports up to 800Mhz bus on the P4
Cons: Documentation was poor. Some manufacturing differences from the documentation.
I recently purchased and ECS 648FX-A at Fry's. I paid around $60 and was eager to get going. All hooked up, plug it in... nothing
Unfortunately, for some reason this motherboard requires that you have the ATX2(4-Prong) and ATX1 (More prongs than 4?) power supplies plugged in. I was trying to save a little money by re-using my old case, that had only the ATX1 Power supply. Another trip to the store and everything seems to work now.
The documentation shows and LED display for power that is supposed to be physically on the board. No display was on the board that I purchased.
Also, don't forget to go into the bios to turn on your 10/100 port. It's defaulted to "Disabled"
