Pros: professional grade durability, quiet, versatile, innovative, safe, timer for kneading Cons: not sold at every discount store, more expensive than lesser mixers.
The Electrolux Assistent is the same machine as the Magic Mill Assistent. This machine was first introduced in Sweden in the late 40's, so it definitely has a track record! Though the styling of the base has changed along with other internal ...

Pros: Powerful, quiet, durable, large capacity, easy to clean, versatile. Cons: Haven't found any. Instructions online sounded confusing, actual use is easy.

Pros: Sturdy, powerful, easy to clean, handy timer and adjustable power dials Cons: Roller arm doesn't lock in place, capacity may be overstated

Pros: Powerful motor. Cons: Flawed design. Arm doesn't want to lock. Walks off the countertop.
Copying this review from my Magic Mill DLX review. Same machine, same issues.
The design of this machine is appealing, but the physical assumptions seem flawed. The bowl spins, but that means that the force of mixing is dependent on the adhesion between the bowl and its contents. Unfortunately when making bread you add flour, this reduces adhesion. The bowl spins and not much will happen sometimes. Of if something happens, it does so very slowly.
The arm of this device is used to control the amount of action. It is spring loaded and can be very difficult to adjust or get to stay in one place, especially when you're dealing with a lot of heavy sourdough.
The last problem is the balance problem, a spinning mass of heavy sourdough can, as the amount of dough increases, cause the mixer to start to walk, off the countertop if you don't hold it down.
