Pros: Great graphics and lots of variation Cons: AI is sometimes dumb, hard to see in some areas
Battlefield Vietnam is the follow-up to Electronic Art's wildly successful Battlefield 1942 game. This one is basically the same game as BF1942, but with slightly better graphics and what seems like more hilly terrain. I have not yet played this one ...
Pros: Great graphics, great soundtrack, overall a pretty polished release. Cons: Dull, "samey" maps. Loses the 1942 charm. needs patching. It frankly just isn't much fun.
Even before the original Battlefield 1942 arrived I was one of the many eager gamers experiencing the multi-player demo of the Wake Island map and counting the days for the main game's release with eager anticipation. Two expansion packs and a ...
Pros: Large scale war (64 players!), new vehicles, great graphics Cons: Not a true sequel, poor balance, online lag
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard of Battlefield 1942, and like many people, have been playing it endlessly. With a slew of mods, the game continues to this day to be a favorite of many online gamers. The first-person war ...
Pros: Best Multiplayer to Date, Extraordinary graphics on the vehicles and player skins. Cons: Needs a big graphics card, there have had reports of game deterioration
Battlefield, the most intense multiplayer game out there to date, fly a Huey into the LZ with "No where to run" blaring for all the bad guys to hear it, call in a artillery strike on the enemy base, airlift a tank into the midst of battle, all this and ...
Pros: Very immersive, more realistic than BF:1942, great graphics. Cons: Choppers vastly overpowered for a multiplayer game.
Intro Like most die-hard BF:1942 players, I was eagerly awaiting the release of this game long before I finally got my hands on it. It is based off an earlier version of the BF:1942 main code, so a lot of it plays more like a MOD than ...
Pros: Awesome radio playlist, myriad of new vehicles, and inspiring graphics. Cons: Laggy on larger servers and many online players dislike being on NVA. No campaign mode.
Battlefield Vietnam, the sequel to the amazing and popular massive FPS multiplayer, Battlefield 1942, is one of the more anticipated games of early 2004. Since I was in a Battlefield 1942 clan, I was highly anticipating seeing some of the trailers for ...
Pros: Excellent Multiplay, good graphics and excellent sound. Great gameplay and Team based action! Cons: Spawn point campers, Poor single player mode.
In 2002 a little known band of developers released a game which changed the multiplayer online community. It mixed Fast paced FPS action with strategy and team based combat. It made bloodied, shrapnel kissed combat situations come to life in the ...
Pros: 64 players online, tightened graphics, vietnam enviroments and sound, new maps and weapons Cons: Recycled BF 1942 game, not much improvements, not much people online
Battlefield Vietnam tried to do what Battlefield 1942 did, unleash a whole bunch of WWII games on the earth. To bad Vietnam just doesn't have the charm that WWII does, either that or Vietnam games aren't any good. If Battlefield: Vietnam is anything ...
Pros: Choppers, jungle textures and ability to hide behind grasses and trees, music, atmosphere Cons: Game engine buggy and lags. An enjoyable romp becomes a hard slog.
Like many people who've experienced the Battlefield 1942 series I'm seriously in love with this franchise. Since playing the demo of Wake Island two years ago I must logged at least five hundred hours of play on BF42 and the various expansion packs and ...
Pros: Great same game with better Graphics, and MUSIC Cons: Nothing really new ...like a modded BF1942 Game
It wasn't long ago that EA brought us BF1942 , Now the same great gameplay plus better Scenery including grass and much more cover that brings the graphics portion way up. Now your fighting in Vietnam with new weapons and more challenges. If there was only one reason to buy the game it would be the music. Not only can you add your own MP3'S , BUT I comes with great hits like War, and fortunate son.
These can be played in any vehicle and plays at loading screens each time you start. Luckily there is more than one reason to buy this title . Great graphics, sound, music and the great same gameplay and physics as before.
There are no patches yet and there are a few glitches such as lag etc... but if your patient EA Will support this and patch all problems soon. But with that said, BFV Is a great game if you enjoyed BF1942 And want something different ... this game could be viewed as a BF1942 Mod
made into Vietnam.
Battlefield Vietnam, great first person shooter by gross99 ,Jun 27 '05
Pros: Good graphics, fun to play Cons: bad single player
Battlefield vietnam is one of those classic games that although its old its great. I think if you have internet BUY THIS GAME. But if you dont have a very good internet service dont buy, because the BOT's you face in single player are really bad and you cant play without being bored. But i would recommend this game.
Pros: good music, vehicles, maps. Cons: bad gun selection, very glitchy, very laggy online;game not worth buying.
After playing Battlefield 1942 for awhile, i started to get bored with it I decided to go out and buy battlefield vietnam. I thought it would be just like the first one, with new maps, weapons, and vehicles. The planes and stuff was what i was really looking forward for. After playing it, yeah, the concept of the game would be great...but it is so glitchy. I first ran it on a 1.7 ghz computer, with 128 MB graphics card, and 256mb of ram. That didnt fix it. Then, i put it on my other computer, 3.2 GHZ, 64 graphics card, 512 MB of ram, and that didnt solve it either. I guess single player works okay, but for online, its not even worth the try. Another thing is is that the gun selection is horrible as well.
