Pros: Compact, powerful, great price-point, converts to cannister vac. Hepa filter included, other features, well designed. Cons: Bagless, so you have to empty it outside, if sensitive. Must empty cup manually.
Ok, I'm an old Pro when it comes to the Sharks. I wrote a detailed review of the cordless model. ...
Pros: Very powerful, light & compact Cons: Filter difficult to clean, did not pick up hairs well (or at all)

Pros: Ease of use, portability, light Cons: not a full fledged vacuum...may not work on certain carpets
This machine really sucks…and that is a good thing! I’m single with high housing expenses and can’t afford to spend a lot on household equipment to keep it clean. Also, my home is mostly hardwood floors so a broom does the job. Advantages: 1. ...
Pros: Small, lightweight, easy to use. Great for hardwood Cons: Can't use on carpet at all, hard to clean filter
About us: Our house is pretty small and we only have 2 bedrooms with carpet, the other rooms(3) are hardwood. We have 2 dogs (a germen sheperd mix and a border collie both shed TONS), and I have SUPER LONG hair (goes down to my waist). So as you can ...
Pros: compactness, light weight, put together well Cons: frequent emptying and filter cleaning, HEPA not washable. VERY SHORT USEFUL LIFE.
My initial experience with this vac positive, despite its limitations: I liked its compactness, maneuverability, and that it can be easily carried around using either by its handle or using its shoulder strap, but it's far from perfect. The main ...
Pros: Powerful little bugger, easy-empty dirt cup, generous cord length Cons: Gets unexpectedly hot after a short period, dirt cup is too small, no brush roll
Back in early-2001, I kept seeing this infomercial for the Bagless Stick Shark, the "go anywhere, do anything, three-in-one vacuum...". So I did what any good TV citizen would do: I ordered one. I was attracted to the vacuum cleaner because it is ...
Pros: Very Versitile and compact, great suction and low weight, Cons: Uses 1200 Watts power and only holds 1 to 2 rooms of dirt in cup
I saw this unit in BJ's and thought at $50 how good could it possibly be! Well I was pleased to find out that good looks and flexability are not the only thing the Shark has, it also is one of the most powerfull vacuum's I have ever used. The shark has ...
Pros: Lightweight, small, compac, Easy to clean, easy to use. Cheap in price! Cons: honestly, none that I can think of!
We had just moved into a house with an Electrolux central vaccum system but I hated it! It was so bulky and heavy.
So after looking around,I bought this little Shark machine for $35 canadian at Canadian Tire. My husband thought it was a joke and honestly so did I for 35$ but the minute we brought it home and plugged it in, the machine felt so powerful. I put it to the test (we were in the middle of renovations and I had a lot of saw dust that I put on a black carpet) and the machine sucked it all up! Its so powerful that the carpet even came up with it a little!
Once we put the machine down to investigate it, we saw all the little parts that it comes with, even a hose for tight spaces - all in this little tiny compac machine! I love it!
We now use it for the entrance carpet, the area rug in the kicten, the bathroom rug and even our hardwood floors. Its a beautiful machine!
Pros: Nothing! Cons: It won't suck up hair; blows all loose paper and lightweight objects around
It won't suck up hair. Instead, it moves it around into balls. When I'm through vacuuming, I have to search the carpet for these hair balls and pick them up by hand. Annoying! Also, it blows all loose paper and lightweight objects around with it's unsensible suction! I really wish I can get a refund.
Pros: Small and powerful Cons: needs a longer cord
I have searched long and hard to find a machine to suck up dog hair off of my kitchen floor. This machine is small and the power is unbelievable. I can store it in a corner in the kitchen and take it out and clean the floor easily.
You do have to empty it after every use because the cup fills up fast. I occasionally wash the filter inside the cup.
All in all I love this machine and I also recently purchased the Shark steam cleaner.
Pros: Lightwieght, incredible suction, very portable. Easy to clean. Cons: If you are allergic, cleaning the Hepa might get ya.
I purchased my Eur-Pro Vacuum from Sears. What a great Vacuum. I bought it for my tile floors and carpeted stairs. I can not believe what comes up! This is a powerful vacuum. I don't understand the bad reviews.
What I love about the vacuum:
1) It is so portable and light.
2) No bags
3) It is incredibly strong. It has picked up everything! I have Two cats, a three year old, and a husband!
4) It works great on my tile floors and carpeted stairs.
5) Easy to clean, just tap out the dust from the Hepa, if it is too dirty just rinse it with water. They suggest you rinse once a month. Just make sure to let it dry before you use the machine again.
I am a clean freak! And I Love this product! Did I say that I love this product?
Sucks, but not the way it was meant to. by ithilwen ,Nov 30 '03
Pros: Small, lightweight, no belts or bags to replace. Cons: Does a VERY poor job. Filter is a pain to clean.
We received this for Christmas, and at the time we thought it was an ok vacuum (what do you want for $50). However, after borrowing someone else's vacuum for an afternoon, we're in the process of looking for a new one. The amount of dirt that the other vacuum picked up in 10 seconds was more than what ours picked up in 5 minutes. It doesn't pick up cat hair, and it does a very poor job of picking up anything else. I would have expected this from something like shag carpeting, but not on a low-pile carpet like ours.
On top of that, the HEPA filter is a pain to clean. The instructions say that it taps clean, but our experience has been that you have to bash it repeatedly, and even that doesn't get the dust out - we've had to use an old toothbrush just to get the dirt out of the little folds.
We probably won't continue using this on our carpets - for now, we'll probably only use it in the kitchen as a broom vac.
Not for carpet, Great for use instead of broom by blonde-zilla ,Aug 30 '04
Pros: Great on hard floors. Easy attachment changing. Window sills with ease. spider webs with ease. Cons: Red full light comes on often. Not for carpet
Well I got this on HSN. I have hardwood throughout my house and was dreading sweeping it all. This little baby rocks on hard floors. It sucks right up to and under the walls. Good for bird seed from bird cage. Easy to change attachments. Easy to empty canister. Pretty good machine if your only using it on hardwood, or hard floors.
Not great on carpet. Not strong enough to get down into the nitty gritty. Its perfect for replacing your broom and dustpan for your hard floors.
Red lights thinks its full too often. But its soo easy to empty that the ease of not having to use a dustpan is worth it to me. If oyu have allot of hard floors this is a great machine. It is not for carpet at all.
good for short cleaning spurts by bobinanaweavin ,Jun 29 '05
Pros: light and maneuverable Cons: Heats up way too fast and shuts down on you
I was excited to get this thing home; it was light, modern looking, and from the description on the box did way more than any other brand in that price range. And then, I got it home, and...
it sucked great...it's light, and you can swing it around and dance with it if you want. But that only lasts until it starts overheating and that irritating red filter light won't go off. Forget dancing; I'm ready to toss this thing into the middle of the street.
It advertises "tap-cleaning" but I found myself banging the filter on the kitchen counter, knocking dishes off shelves and watching all the dust fly back into my house. I cleaned those filters over and over and over....it was silly.
I'm sorry Shark, but I don't have time to wait forty five minutes for my vacuum to cool down when I'm just getting started.
Pros: Light weight, good suction with a clean filter/canister Cons: Will not replace a larger vacuum. Only for quick jobs.
If you are looking for a vacuum to use in between more thorough vacuums this is a great product. I bought it to use as an alternative to my larger and heavier vacuum that strains my back. The one tip is to keep cleaning out the canister and filter a couple of times per session. Once I got used to taking the canister out and putting it back it was easy. The sofa attachment is very useful. I have two dogs and one cat. They all shed a lot, so this has been helpful. Easy to move around the house quickly. Unfortunately, this will not replace my bigger vacuum.
