Pros: lots of cargo room, bug net, looks nice, comfy for child/baby Cons: front wheel came off, seat could use more padding, suspension isn't great
I was really surprised to see the bad reviews on this stroller, but it's possible that Evenflo has improved the Journey stroller (ie. fixing the wheels that kept falling off!). UPDATE!!! One of my front wheels came off! It wont go back on, ...

Pros: TRUE 1-hand fold/open. Built-in bug netting. Easy handling. FULL recline/upright. Lot's of storage areas. Cons: 3-pt harness instead of 5-pt. Best to ScotchGuard material before use.
After reading so many reviews & visiting 3 different stores, trying EVERY kind and brand of stroller - we FINALLY found one my husband, baby and I all LOVE!!! First of all, this is a TRUE one-hand-fold & open (and wheels fold away from you, a MUST when ...

Pros: The bug net is nice. It reclines flat. Cons: Cheaply made, a little bit bulky, sometimes difficult to fold.
WHY I BOUGHT THIS STROLLER: I bought this stroller a little over a year ago. I had just bought an SUV to replace my van, and I found that the SUV had much less trunk space and my favorite stroller would not fit. I wanted a nice stroller that would fit ...

Great Stroller until Front Wheels Fell Off
by tommom ,Dec 11 '06
Pros: fairly easy to fold; one-handed steering works pretty well; easy recline Cons: front wheels fell off; storage basket too small for diaper bag; just lap/crotch belt
This stroller was great - easy to use, fold and store stuff until we had it for about a year. Then one day the front wheels came off (both of them) and wouldn't go back on. After trying in vain to get them back on for at least 1/2 hour and following all the instructions in the original instruction manual, I gave up on it. I decided it was a safety issue and didn't want to gamble my son's safety in the event the wheels popped off while my son was in it.
I have never written a review before, but when shopping for our replacement stroller - I do NOT recommend this stroller to anyone - I saw that the wheel problem is not isolated or a freak accident. I wanted to warn others of this problem.

Strollers need wheels that stay on!
by jennysmom ,Apr 13 '05
Pros: none Cons: front wheels come off
The only good thing that I can say about this stroller is that we received it as a gift so at least we didn't waste our money. Evenflo told us that "we've gotten a lot of calls about the wheels." They did send us two replacement front wheels(free of charge), but they also fell off after about a month. If they know that the wheels don't last longer than a month why don't they recall this stroller? It is a safety hazard. One time the front wheels came off while crossing the street (as a bus approached us). Our Evenflo Journey stroller went out in the trash - where it belongs!

Front wheels fall off
by jocelynbray ,Sep 07 '05
Pros: Easy to fold up, easy handling, nice tray on front for toddlers snacks and drinks Cons: Front wheels fall off, swivel lock fails, sun hood is useless, 90 day warranty
I received this stroller as a baby gift about 1 month before my daughter was born. I picked it out myself so I shouldn't complain. The 90 day warranty is crappy. I never even got to use my stroller and the warranty was up. Then I only got to use it for about 6 months before it had to go into storage for the winter. Then the following spring I pulled the stroller out to use it and after that the front wheels continually fell off. This stroller was hardly used! The wheels fall off every time you have to lift the front end. It is so hard to balance the stroller with a kid in it and try to put both of the front wheels back on. What an embarrassment to own this EVENFLO stroller!!! I also called the company and they made me buy new wheels for it ( I thought warranty should have covered that) My sister also owns a similar EVENFLO stroller and the wheels on hers also fall off. How many people does this have to happen to before they start recalling some of these crappy strollers?

Safari Animal Design at Target is the one to AVOID!!!!
by doriscronin ,Sep 14 '06
Pros: It fits in the back of my SUV Cons: Wheels falling off is driving me CRAZY!!!!
My Evenflo Journey does not look like the one in this picture. I got it at Target, and it had a Safari Animal design on it. Within one month I ripped the foam handle, so I wrapped it with electrical tape (should have returned it at that point)! But I did not, and now everytime I take it out of my car, unfold it, go over a curb, turn a corner, fold it back up, or put it in my car, the wheels fall off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a piece of TRASH!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER-UNSAFE
by jmchenery ,May 02 '06
Pros: nothing if its going to harm your child Cons: collapsed and injured my daughter while she was in it, wheels shake, wheels fall off
We received this stroller/car seat combo in August for our new baby. We started using the stroller when she was around 6 weeks. It shook so bad it looked like the wheels were going to fall off (ours never did but most people say theirs have). I was fine with the shaking since she is 8 months old now but today the STROLLER COLLAPSED WITH HER IN IT! She was hurt and has red marks and bruising on her abdomen and a cut on her face. After we took her out of it we tried to lock the stroller open and it took over 15 times of trying to jam it completly open before it stuck! Unfortuantly this was at 5 pm today and the company was closed for the day but I am calling tomorrow ASAP. STOP USING THIS STROLLER!!!!! IT IS NOT SAFE

DO NOT BUY THIS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
by dac21 ,Jan 19 '05
Pros: none Cons: defective wheels come off at any time
I purchased this product 18 months ago and the wheels started falling off about a month after purchase. The store wouldn't take it back because there was a 90 day manufacturer warrenty but Evenflo wanted $40 for new wheels that would have still kept falling off. I called again today after having it this long and having the wheels held on with rubber bands and they say they don't believe I ever called and that they would have done something had I called the first 90 days. Evenflo is a horrible company and I will never own another crappy product of theirs again. They endanger childrens and their families lived by letting such things go and not recalling them. How many kids will have to be injured or die for them to "care" about it?

NOT RECOMMENDED!!
by newmum06 ,Jul 21 '06
Pros: Shield and storage space. Cons: WHEELS! The most important part of any stroller.
I got the stroller as a gift at a baby shower at work around June 2005. The wheels started to come off around four months. Not good especially for my baby. Even though it shielded my baby, it was scary when the wheels come off especially when I reach the curbs. NO GOOD! They sent me another set too but came off still. What a waste.

It's cute but that's all that it is. . .
by loviesmom ,Oct 21 '05
Pros: *sun shade
*pattern appealing Cons: *brakes malfunctioned
*poor alignment
*foam shred after a few uses
*HORRIBLE squeaking
*wheels fell off
. . otherwise, I don't think that this stroller would ever sell. Only after a few uses, we started to note many different aspects of the stroller that were defective: brakes malfunctioned, stroller leaned to the right, foam covering on handles started to shred, sun shade would not retract and wheels would fall off.
I did call Evenflo regarding this product with less than hospitable response. I the mail, I received a form to complete and specifications of what to send to Evenflo for an exchange. Why would I want to try another of their products?
It felt good to throw the stroller in the trash.

What a waste of Money on this Stroller
by shel_louise55 ,Oct 01 '09
Pros: Cute and compact, had cup holders and seemed convenient for smaller SUV. Cons: Carryhandle broke, didn't stay locked, and stroller wheel kept falling off. NO consumer satisfaction
We bought an Evenflo Stroller model 5411466C and carrybed for our daughter and husband. The wheel kept falling off and most time we noticed it. NOW it's GONE, fell off again somewhere while loading the car....so now can't even use the stroller. The carrybed handle broke so they threw that away. They asked the company at the time for replacement parts and all they could say was they no longer make that model. NO offer of an all new system. For families starting out, they don't have the money to just throw away to buy another stroller....I used to think Evenflo was a respectable company but not any more. They didn't stand behind their product. And at the time, the stroller had been bought 6 months before the birth and crapped out when baby was only 8 months old. The carry bed was only used 3 months and was no good for 2nd baby...had to buy new one.

BIG WAIST OF MONEY
by madgranny ,Feb 20 '09
Pros: THERE CAR SEAT IS OK Cons: TERRIBLE PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM EVENFLO
WE HAVE HAD THE STROLLER SINCE ABOUT ONE MONTH BEFORE OUR GRANDAUGHTER WAS BORN SO WE WERE ALREADY 30 DAYS INTO THE WARRENTY. AFTER USING THE THING ONLY 4 TIMES THE REAR WHEEL BROKE OFF AS WE WERE PUTTING THE BABY IN IT AND ALMOST DROPPED HER. WE HAVE TRIED TO GET ATLEAST A REPLACEMENT SET OF REAR WHEELS WITH NO RESPONSE WHATSO EVER FROM EVENFLO. THE STORE WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE WE WERE JUST OVER THE 90 DAY WARRENTY. WE ARE BEING FORCED TO BUY A NEW STROLLER AND WASTED $189 ON THIS ONE. PLEASE THINK OF THE BABY AND DO NOT BUY EVENFLO........
