Pros: Cheap, great quality and performance... Cons: None so far...
I just upgraded the video card for one of my oldest clients about two weeks ago with this decent eVGA GeForce FX-5500 (256MB) card. This card is basically an overclocked version FX-5200 that is a bit faster. This card is simple, cheap, ...
Pros: Very good performance for gaming and general use, easy to install, good features, cheap Cons: x2 anti-aliasing bug, CD-ROM in package didn't work
Had I known how badly the Payroll Department were going to mess up my last fortnight’s wages, I probably wouldn’t have got this so quickly. But hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time! The first thing that struck me about this ...
Pros: Easy installation and setup; rich, vibrant colors; great price Cons: none that I see so far
I recently replaced the Nvidia 64MB graphics card that came in my Dell Dimension 8100 with this one. WOW! What a big difference. The color is crisp and sharp. Videos and graphic images really look great! I decided on this card for the cost and the memory. I also wanted the ability to export video out, so the S-video out port was also important. I use a conventional VGA monitor, but the card also has a DVI port. An adaptor comes in the box to convert that DVI port to a 9-pin VGA. I bought the card at www.newegg.com. Confirmation and shipping were fast.
I wanted to run Aero Glass affects and I got this card and it produces them so I thought I'd let people know. I just have a 4x AGP bus and a Celeron 2 Gig speed 768m memory
Pros: Installation was simple, the price rules, and it's good for casual gaming. Cons: -cons? I can't find any
I bought this card because my computer came with integrated video. I didn't expect anything extraordinary, but it has surprised me with it's good performance (I even get decent performance in Half Life 2!). I've had no problems whatsoever and highly recommend this card to anyone wanting a cheap video card that runs well.
70 bucks and died in less then 2 years by vpallari ,Oct 17 '07
Pros: did its job for 18 monhts Cons: died at 18 months
I bought this card 18 months ago with a 1 year warranty. It died at 18 months. First sign was intermittent flashing of the screen. that quickly turned into the infamous NV4_DISP.dll infinite loop blue screen of death error. I unplugged the VGA port and switched to DVI in order to try and fix the problem. I tried all new drivers (NVIDIA and eVga...whats the deal with that anyway, how many companies do i have to go through to get support for a freakin product. eVga sold it, eVga should be my point of contact..anyway, i digress). After working for a day in a half, i came to the conclusion that the drivers were causing problems and the VGA port was completely dead! Bought a new Sapphire ATI x1650 and installed it. Everything works fine now. POS.
