Pros: Great 5 point autofocus, plenty of
features and functions for the prosumer. Cons: Flash makes a noise when popping up and
this may disturb the subject.
The 5QD is the Asian version of the A2E, with the quartz date stamp. Seems this feature couldn't be incorporated in
the N.American version due to copyright issues.
I have used the Auto mode exclusively as I feel that more
time should...
Pros: Ease of use. Good dollar value. Cons: Can be intimidating to the electronic illiterate.
The entire line of Cannon EOS products are without par, in my opinion. They exhibit outstanding engineering, while keeping the photographer in mind. They have tremendous ease of use, while allowing for the more avid photographer to do complex...
My first SLR was a Canon A2e, back in 1996. First things first, do not let the salesman talk you into an A2e. The "e" is not worth it, and you will never use it.
Second things first, don't use a salesman. Go look at the local strip...
Pros: features, control, pro-spec Cons: meter now realtively basic. Plastic build. no dedicated aperture preview button.
I ran one of these machines for 7 years and have to say it almost converted me to Canon SLR's for ever. Almost. I bought mine brand new and never had any reliability problems with it at all, but then I always took great care of it. I've heard some ...
Pros: Very quiet and speedy motor drive. Cons: Sucks the life out of batteries.
The Canon EOS A2 is a good reliable camera. It does have a few minor flaws which does not necessarily discredit the camera as a viable product worthy of purchase. In fact I will continue to use it as a second backup camera.
Pros: spot meter, ergonomics, EF lenses Cons: almost useless on-camera flash, susceptible to high humidity
I bought the A2e (actually the EOS 5) from B&H photo about a year ago, to enter the realm of autofocus and EF lenses. If you are a serious amateur who likes quality glass on your camera, and you need such amenities as spot metering, fast motor drive,...
Pros: Excellent features, excellent matrix metering, good price Cons: Command Dial and Lens Release button tends to break
The Canon A2/E camera is a super camera. An incredible number of features packed into a small light camera body. It has all the modes you need: programmed, aperture priority, shutter priority and special pictogram modes (turn the dial to the running icon...
I purchased the A-2 EOS to get back into Photography as a business. Since I have had various problems with my eye sight and was looking for the quickest auto focus available to me. I owned and Elan Eos dam that was a tough camera and I used every where...
Pros: Easy to use. Great focusing. Fairly decent price. Cons: After heavy use expect the quick dial to break!
This was my second Canon camera purchase. I wouldn't call myself an extensive photographer as I usually go through about 50 rolls of film a year. I've had this camera for about two years now and overall it's performance has been relatively good. It...
Pros: very light weight Cons: for professionals only
I recently purchased an eos five Q D in New York. I chose this camera after long deliberations and world wide opinion and price checking. I am used to the point and shoot cameras but have know decided to go professional.
I am studying photography...
Pros: Price tag alot less expensive than the EOS 1v or EOS 3 Cons: Need the owners manual by your side at all times. Difficult to recall all functions.
I have had my Canon EOS A2 for almost a year now and I have found that it has not lived up to my expectations whatsoever. Out of the ten rolls of film I have taken (using anything from $3.00 drugstore film to $8.00-$9.00 Fugi and AGFA semi-pro film)...
Pros: sturdy, well made. Cons: not as cost effective as a digital.
I have had this camera for a few years it has been a reliable camera for the most part although it can be off at times using auto focus so I usually focus it manually.
the battery life is good does not run down rapidly. I took this camera to the Grand Canyon with me last year and took some wonderful shots. I recommend this camera to anyone wanting to get to use a film camera this is probably one of last great ones out there. I like the digital cameras made by canon some of them will use some of the same lenses as this one so don't be afraid to get to know both if you enjoy photography they both have features and benefits you may like in both...I do recommend putting film shots on disc or proof sheets until you know exactly which prints you want it saves a lot of money.
The best camera Canon ever made and I have a few of them by mrrico ,May 17 '07
Pros: Fast quiet Cons: none
Great body. Very fast. I have had one for years. Got another one used 3 years ago. I have one that I keep the vertical grip on at all times. I also have the battery pack usses D cell batteries. They last 7 times longer. and I have the wired remote too. I have never had the control dial problems some have had . Just push the lock then turn it dont turn the dial before you push the lock. I like the control dial better than what they did when they made the Eos 3. Great camera.
